Position Summary:
The VP for Development is responsible for leading and executing fundraising efforts, with a strong emphasis on individual giving, church partnerships, special events, and donor recruitment & cultivation. This role ensures alignment with organization and department policies and procedures, maintains accurate donor data in the CRM system, and drives revenue growth to support the corporation’s goals. The position reports to the President/CEO and will lead the Development Team.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can think strategically while executing day-to-day, cultivate major donors, strengthen individual giving, and build a strategic fundraising plan. The VP for Development will partner closely with leadership and program teams to ensure fundraising is relational, aligned, and impact-driven.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.Prefer 5 years of fund-raising experience.Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.Strong attention to detail, organizational, financial and planning skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Assist with digital media content.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the President/CEO.Directs the development team.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work nights and weekends, as necessary.Reliable transportation and ability to travel to meetings or events.Sitting, bending, reaching, and walking.Some heavy lifting may be required.
