Must have professional experience (we do not train or hire apprentices) Experience with a wide variety of breedsWorking knowledge of standard grooming practices for various coat typesWorking knowledge of specific breed pattern cutsComfortable with all breeds, sizes, and tempermentsHave safety and quality as your priority - not number of grooms per dayEnjoy pampering one pup at a time, from start to finish, we do not rotate pups around by putting them in kennels for periods of timeAbility to effectively communicate with pet parents and ask clarifying questions to ensure cut/style expects are met or professionally and effectively communicate why style, length, etc. pet parent requests is not possibleAbility to effectively educate pet parents on home care and recommended grooming interval to maintain healthy skin and coatMust be flexible - we try to schedule for smooth operations and adjust as needed but days aren't always perfect; we value our customers and reputation and will be understanding and accommodate whenever possiblePositive, professional attitude and ability to work as a team member, contributing to the success of the salon and everyone's grooming practice Able to work independently, we do not have a salon manager, the owner manages the salon and store, groomers are all equal team membersThis is a non-competitive environment, there is no quota or pressure, groomers set their pace by determining length of time needed for size/coat type
