What You'll DoAs a Senior Keeper, you'll be a trusted leader within the Life Sciences team, working closely with Curatorial staff while serving as a go-to expert for animal care and husbandry practices. Your impact will be felt daily-by animals, colleagues, interns, and guests alike.
In this role, you will:
Deliver exceptional daily animal care including feedings, treatments, enrichment, exhibit maintenance, and water quality monitoring.Serve as a role model and mentor, setting the standard for high-quality husbandry and animal welfare.Lead and support training efforts for staff, interns, and volunteers.Develop and advance behavioral training and enrichment programs in collaboration with veterinary and curatorial teams.Act as a point person for husbandry questions, offering guidance and support to developing keepers.Assist with daily and weekly operations, team projects, and animal welfare concerns.Participate in AZA initiatives, conservation programs, and professional development opportunities.Step into leadership and decision-making roles when Curatorial staff are not present.About Wonders of WildlifeCreated by conservationist and Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is the largest and most immersive wildlife attraction in the world.
