Wohlsen Construction is seeking a high-performing Senior Project Manager with strong healthcare experience and a track record of cultivating client relationships to lead complex projects and drive new business in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership – Healthcare Focus
Lead the successful execution of healthcare construction projects ranging from $15M to $50M+.Oversee cost control, scheduling, safety, and quality while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., ICRA, Joint Commission requirements).Drive project planning, sequencing, and scheduling in close collaboration with field operations and healthcare stakeholders.Ensure effective infection control planning and implementation throughout construction.Manage and mentor project engineers, project assistants, and field staff in healthcare environments.Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare clients, architects, and consultants.Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout all phases of the project.Conduct regular meetings and updates with clients to resolve challenges and maintain trust and transparency.Sales & Business Development
Collaborate with preconstruction and business development teams to pursue and secure new healthcare work.Participate in the RFP process, including developing win strategies, assembling teams, and attending client interviews.Actively network with key decision-makers at healthcare organizations and position Wohlsen as a trusted partner.Identify new project opportunities through client referrals and industry connections.Path to Project Executive

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.7–12 years of experience managing healthcare construction projects, preferably in active hospital environments.Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and contribute to securing repeat work.Experience with estimating, preconstruction, and contract negotiation.OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications preferred.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to travel regionally and adjust hours as needed to meet project and business development goals.Why Join Us?

You will perform coordination and administrative support services to the Risk Management Teams: Safety, Legal, Insurance, and Prequalification. The position will be working from the Lancaster, PA corporate office.
How You’ll Contribute:
· Provide general administrative support services to the Risk Management Department, including coordinating internal department workflows, creating company communications and presentations, maintaining files, and supporting departmental priorities.
· Maintain and update departmental SharePoint pages and Playbooks
· Assist Prequalification department with management of vendor prequal program with tasks like assigning new vendor submissions, managing the dashboard and reporting
· Assist with Vendor insurance compliance program as needed
· Maintain & Update Safety training materials, reports, and other documents
· Manage internal safety training files and certifications
· Assist project teams with safety-related tasks like maintaining Toolbox Talks in project folders, creating job-specific safety orientation QR codes, placing orders for & organizing delivery of new safety boards.
· Create the Weekly Safety Bulletin in collaboration with Director of Safety and Safety Managers
· Review new hire safety orientation survey for feedback & periodically make updates
· Assist with the safety portion of prequalification efforts for Wohlsen & LV Concrete
· Assist Marketing department with the safety award submissions
· Support claims efforts through the management of claim-related files, in collaboration with legal department
· Support auto claims process by gathering necessary information and filing claim with the insurance company, maintaining necessary files, assisting team member in setting up vehicle repair and collaborating with insurance companies solutions and subrogation when appropriate
· Support workers compensation claims by obtaining initial report, sending appropriate paperwork to injured teammate, monitoring the claim and maintaining files.
· Manage Wohlsen’s fleet Department of Transportation compliance program which includes maintaining confidential driver & vehicle files, communicating important aspects of the requirements to relevant teams, and requesting updated files as needed
· Manage Wohlsen’s fleet performance program which includes collaborating with drivers regarding inactive GPS devices, reviewing driver violation reports and sending to managers, and support in responding to third party calls regarding our drivers and vehicles
· Manage fleet Motor Vehicle Reporting monitoring program which includes managing drive policy acknowledgement forms, driver's license copies and DMV reports
Relationships:
· Reports to Prequalification & Project Risk Supervisor
· Interacts with other members of the safety & risk management department, Project Executives, Project Managers, Project Assistants, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Yard Manager, the LV Concrete team, and various HR teammates
· Interacts with insurance carriers, vendors, third party representatives for various software companies and outside auditors or consultants
Expected Results
· Support Risk Management department
· Maintain Wohlsen & LV’s compliance with DOT driver requirements
· Maintain confidentiality of records, including claim files and DOT files
· Assist resolution of Auto & Workers Compensation claims
Qualifications
· Associates degree required, preference for business, technology, technical writing, or safety-related certifications
· A minimum of one-year experience in clerical or administrative support.
· Experience in construction industry strongly preferred. Experience providing administrative support to risk management or safety departments a plus.
· Strong computer/technology skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Valid driver’s license
Must have a valid driver license and ability to travel. Ability to work additional hours as necessary.
Physical Requirements
In a normal day, this position requires little to no standing or walking. In a normal day, the employee must be able to sit for 7+ hours. In a normal day, the employee must be able to drive 1-4 hours. Employee must be able to lift/carry up to 10 lbs. maximum; occasionally carry small objects. In this position, employee occasionally (0-33%) must be able to bend at waist, squat the knees, climb (including ladders), reach above shoulders, kneel, crawl, use feet (foot controls), and/or work at heights above 6 feet.
