    The Role:
    Part-time kennel assistants work 24 - 33 hours/week with the option for a full-time position upon availability and performance review. Kennel Assistants are required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday and/or Sunday) per week.
    Our Kennel Assistants are knowledgeable in vaccine protocols, parasite prevention, and boarding requirements. You will ensure each guest is up-to-date on their vaccines and preventative to ensure a safe stay for them and the other pets around them. You will help with the scheduling of boarding appointments and greet guests when they arrive for boarding, speaking with pet-parents during the check-in and check-out process.
    Your primary tasks will be the care of boarding guests: serving them breakfast, lunch, dinner, cleaning their kennels, and taking them outside for their routine exercise 4-5 times/day. You will make sure each boarding guest goes home cleaner than when they arrived, giving baths, cleaning ears, and trimming nails. Between these tasks, our Kennel assistants assist holding patients for the veterinarians and Nurses doing treatments and procedures such as vaccines, surgery, nail trims and much much more. You will learn the names of all the surgical instruments and clean, wrap, and sterilize packs before and after surgery. Throughout the shift you will constantly be rotating and folding clinic laundry, washing dishes, taking out trash, picking up feces, and cleaning various areas of the hospital. These tasks will require bending, lifting and carrying animals and products of 50+ lbs (with or without reasonable accommodations).
    As our KAs become more experienced, they are able to do more. Including client education, help run fecal tests in the lab and assisting the nurses in the exam rooms.

    What is a Communication Assistant?
    We offer a full-time position of 34+ hours a week with some flexibility in how this is scheduled. All employees must be able to work Monday and Saturday as part of their full-time schedule with possible Sunday shifts coming in for about 2 hours to call or confirm next-day appointments.
    Communication assistants are the first voice clients hear at Wise Owl. As a team, they assist the receptionists and are responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments for surgery, boarding, grooming, treatments, etc., and confirm upcoming bookings. They regularly respond to client emails throughout the day, return voicemails, and ensure the doctors and nurses respond to client messages left for them. They will need to communicate with our clients to remind them about preventions or appointments that are due soon. Lastly, everyone in the hospital helps each other. Communication assistants will occasionally help our kennel assistants with exercising a boarding guest, our nurses with cleaning a room between exams, and our clients with bringing their pet(s) into a room.

All employees work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday), with Sunday crew coming in for split shifts to care for hospitalized pets. Receptionists are also our after-hour operators and help answer our after-hours line for pet emergencies at least once a week for additional pay.
    Receptionists are the first and final impression clients have of Wise Owl. As a team, they manage the front of house and are responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in, and billing out. Receptionists are comfortable discussing costs, and financial options with our clients, without making it about the money.Not just a desk job, our receptionists enjoy a variety of tasks from completing health certificates, to escorting animals in and out of the clinic, to helping clean rooms between exams.

    The Job
    We offer a full-time position of 36 - 40 hours a week, with Saturdays as part of this full-time schedule. The Lead CSR role is to coordinate tasks and projects with the Office Manager and scheduling with the shift supervisor. You will review the daily dashboard for key items of concern the staff should be aware of and adjust the schedule as needed.
    In addition to regular reporting and auditing of back-end customer service systems, you will monitor the day-to-day performance of receptionists. You will train, mentor and coach the reception team to ensure consistency in knowledge and skill levels. You oversee the reception departments promotion of wellness plans and will develop protocols and SOPs for consistency, efficiency, and an overall smooth client experience from check-in to bill-out.
    You will run weekly payment system reports and track data through excel sheets; presenting weekly updates to the office manager. Other tasks will include filing of confidential business information, auditing, and handling financial information securely.
