    Role:

    Manage client assignments and projects, while delivering a high-quality serviceOversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliatesReview various types of tax returns including individual, corporate, partnership, and trusts and make recommendations and decisions that reflect client needsEnsure the accuracy of tax provisions and returns including documenting supporting tax positionsConduct tax research and provide effective solutionsSupervise and provide assistance to tax associates and managersPrepare high-quality, practical tax planning approaches for various client tax needs and situationsMaintain and develop business relationships with WVC clientsParticipate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firmOpportunity to coach, advise and support team members with meeting both client and professional-development expectations

    Requirements:

    A proven track record of preparing and reviewing complex individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returnsExperience conducting tax research and a solid foundation of tax-related technical knowledgeDemonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlinesAbility to problem-solve and think both creatively and logicallyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIdeally, a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

    Role:

    Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger, supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.Reconcile entries to ensure all accounts are balanced.Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.Assist with the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.Help support in contracts, job set ups and estimates. Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system for financial documents.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

    Requirements:

    Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Strong communication skills.Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
