Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for working together with the operating crew to minimize downtime and to maximize productivity and making the basic decisions on how a mechanical repair is to proceed. They will perform quality repairs the first time, leading the completion of more complicated and specialized mechanical and fluids repair tasks. It is expected the Maintenance Tech will be competent in performing equipment repairs to varied mechanical and fluids systems including changing problem components and performing preventive maintenance on these systems. This role will sit in Wieland's East Alton, IL facility.
Starting Pay: $42.87
Schedule: Rotating/Swinging
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Responsibilities
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:Work in alignment with Wieland’s core values and abide by the 8 Golden Rules of Safety. Collaborate with the operations department for constant improvement. Work with team members to achieve department goals.Perform administrative duties as assigned, including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system.Adhere to Wieland and OSHA safety procedures and job-specific safety practices, report issues to the Supervisor, Safety, or HR.Follow daily procedures, work instructions, control plans, and protocols outlined during orientations and training.Attend meetings and refresher courses to maintain and develop skillsPerform general laborer tasks as required.Maintain daily housekeeping of the work area.Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Maintenance Technician Required Qualifications:Minimum of five years’ heavy industrial/maintenance experience or an apprenticeship certification required.Experience with mounting and setting equipment (rigging experience desired), repairing mechanical transmission equipment, repairing fluid power systems, general equipment breakdown maintenance, and heavy equipment experience is required. Experience with large drive train systems including gearboxes, drive spindles, and sleeve bearings is required.Adherence to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of protective gear.Capability to stand, balance, walk, and reach for extended periods.Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, twist, or crouch.Ability to climb stairs and ladders to and from work areas.Dependable and consistent attendance.Availability to work mandatory OT. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.Manual dexterity for handling and manipulating items, samples, and tools.

Strong judgment and ability to ask questions when needed.Attention to detail and consistent alertness to ensure safety.Prioritization of safety in all tasks.Vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be at least 18 years of age.Maintenance Technician Preferred Qualifications:Millwright experience is a plus.Experience operating manual conventional lathes, boring mills, conventional mills, and all related machine shop equipment is a plus.Experience with fabricating of light gauge guarding and repair of metal products using Mig Welders, Tig Welders, Arc Welding, or Stick Welding is a PlusCNC machining skills are a plus.Understanding of infrared, acoustics and other predictive maintenance practices is considered a plus.

Wieland is hiring an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for directing daily activity of Industrial Electricians to minimize equipment downtime. Additionally, this person will provide electrical/electronic expertise to troubleshoot and upgrade all plant equipment. This role is located in Buffalo, NY, and will be fully on-site.
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:Analyze recurring equipment problems, recommend and implement long-term solutions to increase plant productivity and efficiency.Duties include the planning, scheduling, design, supervision, implementation, commissioning, and creating/modifying documentation and drawings of electrical/electronic projects on a small/medium scale.Maintain and enhance plant electrical/electronic schematics and literature to provide sufficient technical resources of information and minimize electrical/electronic breakdown time.Maintain system software backups and system documentation.Instruct peers on updated troubleshooting techniques and attend pertinent training programs and seminars to acquire state-of-the-art knowledge of electrical/electronic industrial systems.Maintain spare parts and test equipment to ensure effective maintenance and repair of all plant electrical/electronic equipment.Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies. Promote a climate of positive labor relations by adhering to the labor contract.Work alongside mechanical trades and engineers in troubleshooting machine issues.Work with production employees in understanding and resolving obstacles.Participate in continuous improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 programs and procedures though active participation in the near miss program.Handles containerizing and labeling universal wastes, including batteries and lamps, as well as spent aerosol cans (HW).
Electrical Engineer Qualifications:BS/BT degree in Electrical Engineering.Two (2) years of industrial experience, including PLC, AC/DC drives, industrial instrumentation, motor controls experience required; Five (5) years industrial experience preferred.Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is required.Experience with high-power applications is required.Six Sigma certification preferred.

Wieland is hiring a Shipper. This role is responsible for finishing and packaging tubing products for the Shipping Department to ensure they are properly prepared for shipment to customers. The Shipper will safely operate equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of safe work practices. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $19.77/hr plus $0.40 Shift Differential
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with occassional weekends
Training Schedule: 60-90 day training period on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Responsibilities
Shipper Responsibilities:Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.Finishes and packs tubing in preparation for shipping to the customer.Obtains material from storage area and proper packing materials from storage, including boxes, corners, bracing, nails, tape, or banding, etc.Prepares and weighs, visually inspects while packing and submits samples to lab. Will attach label if necessary.Performs the hooking and unhooking of loads for the Crane Operator and helps load trucks.Performs the duty of weighing and recording each individual shipping container and records all pertinent information as required and checks the scales every 2 hours.Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work environment.Maintains knowledge of all aspects of the Shipping Department.Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine’s training evaluation form.Able to work overtime as business needs require.Cross trains within the Shipping Department and other areas as needed.

Maintenance Technicians are involved in the daily installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of manufacturing systems. Responsibilities
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:Performs daily installation, maintenance, service, and repair of a wide variety of manufacturing systems including, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, using various hand and power tools and precision-measuring and testing instruments of the maintenance trade.Maintains central supply systems, auxiliary systems, and chemical water treatment systems, using gauges and other test instruments to, disassemble, reassemble, replace, or repair system components.Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds and does visual inspections to locate causes of trouble.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Reports time spent, parts used, settings and other job-related activities in the CMMS system.Provides feedback to planners and supervisors to improve routine procedures, part availability and job preparationDemonstrates exemplary housekeeping and care of machinery and work areas.Provides assistance in the plant involving other types of general maintenance work when needed.Completes scheduled checks any malfunctions and unsafe conditions, and reports and corrects them.Completes repairs in a safe and timely manner, ensuring that all special PPE is utilized according to company rules and policies, following job-related SOP’s.Provides training and feedback to the operators and production supervisors.Inspects work to assure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings and equipment.Requisitions supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment.
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:Experience and knowledge around the functions and designs of bearings, motors, gearboxes, and major electrical components.3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent to include technical training or degree.Demonstrated safety knowledge and positive safety behaviors.Pro-Active and Predictive Maintenance knowledge or training desired but not required. Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance and ability to support investigations and develop mitigation plans to address findings.Experience with maintenance best practices such as Precision Maintenance techniques (e.g. dynamic balancing, equipment alignment, equipment repair standards, etc.)Experience and/or certifications with predictive maintenance technologies (i.e. Vibration, Tribology, Thermography, Ultrasound, Motor Circuit Analysis.)Ability to navigate notifications, confirmations, work orders, and materials in SAP system.
