Team Leaders are required to spend significant time on the floor, engaging with customers, and pitching in to help whenever and wherever needed. All positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.Bakery Team Member: Provides support as a member of the Bakery team to include receiving and preparing products, maintaining the Bakery area and displays, and selling products in support of WFM standards. Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves. The Bakery departments may include artisan bread, cakes, pastry, gelato, juice, and coffee bars. Grocery Team Member: Responsibilities of the Grocery Team Member include stocking and replenishing the Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Bulk shelves, we well as other miscellaneous displays, breaking down deliveries, stocking shelves, coolers, cross-merchandising areas within the store. This includes the use of pallet jacks, 2 wheelers, and u -boats to transport products from the backroom to the sales floor. Break down and count in loads. Maintain Grocery area cleanliness and visually appealing manner. Provides support including receiving and preparing products, maintaining the grocery floor and displays, and selling products in support of WFM standards. Meat: As a member in the meat department, your role ensures a fresh and appealing Meat and Poultry display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables. Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required. Trim and bone meat and poultry upon customer request. Skewer meat/poultry items for kabobs, marinate, and/or stuff oven-ready items. Grind trimmings for ground meat (when certified), make sausages where applicable. As well as maintain a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment and performs other duties as assigned. Prepared Foods Team Member (Deli): Provides support as a member of the Prepared Foods team to include preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products. Cuts, peel, chop, slice prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza to order where applicable. Samples products to customers. Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from the kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators. Prepare sandwiches and pizzas to order where applicable. Produce: Provides support as a member of the Produce team to include receiving and preparing products, maintaining the Produce floor and displays, and selling products in support of WFM standards. Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves. Rinse and trim produce items, prepare special cuts per customer request. Rotate, culls, and fill produce cases and tables, wrap and store unused products in coolers, help cross-merchandise products with other departments. Provides excellent customer service while serving and selling the highest quality foods. Abides by the strictest standards of physical and food safety, freshness, and sanitation. Seafood: Provides support as a member of the seafood team to include duties related to counter service, ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables. Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish. As well as maintain a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment and performs other duties as assigned. Specialty (Beer, Wine, and Cheese): Provides support as a member of the Specialty team to include receiving and preparing products, maintaining the Specialty floor and displays, and selling products in support of the regional Specialty vision. Assist customers in selecting beer, wine, wares, specialty products, and cheese. Maintain olive bar where applicable, slice specialty meats and grate/slice cheeses, and ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked. As well as maintain a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment and performs other duties as assigned. Store Support Cashier: Provides support as a member of the Store Support team to include assisting customers during the check-out process, performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and working at the customer service desk. Works to maintain attractive customer service displays and support the regional Customer Service vision. Upholds government regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation. Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures. Uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items. Cleans and stocks Store Support areas, including own register - changing tapes and ribbon as necessary. Follows all cash handling procedures - meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy. May assist Cashier Assistant Duties such as retrieves carts, baskets, cleans, sweeps, mop, stocks products, and helps ensure overall maintenance of the department. Whole Body Team Member (Vitamin, Supplements, and Body Care): As a member of our Whole Body Team, you must understand why our products (vitamins, supplements, and body care) are different than conventional stores and explain differences to customers. Replenish products through proper buying procedures. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory rules and regulations including DSHEA (Dietary Supplement and Health and Education Act), Weights and Measures, ABC regulations, FDA, Department of Labor, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices. Your role will include stocking and facing products, maintaining the Whole Body floor and displays, and selling products in support of Regional Whole Body standards.
