The APM will work closely supporting a team of PM's to help coordinates all preconstruction and construction activities throughout the duration of the project and be a point of contact between Bass, the Client, Engineers, city/municipality and Architect on certain tasks.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

    Partnering with Project Manager throughout project to support in the following areas:Review subcontract bids for completeness, revise as necessary and negotiation best possible contract with subcontractors and material suppliersHelp maintain a project schedule consistent with contractual requirements. Reviewing and maintaining a schedule pace that will ensure timely completion.Issue Purchase Orders for necessary materialsHelp maintain project budgetParticipate in preconstruction meetings with appropriate partiesConduct periodic job meetings during construction with appropriate partiesSupport to the Superintendent to ensure job specific safety requirements are established and complied with by all project participants.Process all required paperwork for both internal and external useTravel as necessary to help support assigned projectsEnsure a strong project closure by proactively determining and executing customer's requirements for “turnover”, completing all required documentation, acquiring all lien waivers and final payments.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Degree in Construction Management and a minimum of 3 years internships, co-ops and/or work in a construction related field. Building Operations – has a range of experience in field operations and construction means and methods, including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, production of all phases and project closeout. Estimating – Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other documents as well as develop sub bid packages, negotiate, and award subcontracts. Client Relationships – establishes positive relationships with clients with the ultimate responsibility to provide the best customer service in the industry. Financial Understanding – understands project cost reporting systems and can use them to accurately communicate the financial status of a project.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized with strong problem-solving skills. Computer proficiency in the Windows environment

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role within the construction industry.Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, Building Connected, or similar.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    We are currently looking for an experienced traveling, commercial construction superintendent. The successful applicant will have a proven track record as a commercial construction superintendent dealing with new, ground up construction as well as additions and interior renovations. Experience in the construction of restaurants, petroleum/convenience store, bank/credit union and retail projects highly desired.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:

    Coordination of all field personnel and trade contractors to ensure that the project is successfully completed on schedule and within budget.Working effectively with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship in accordance with project plans and specifications as well as customer requirements.Effectively manage project construction schedule and coordinate with all parties to ensure project is completed by designated turnover date.Maintains professional and positive relationships with customers, trade contractors, suppliers, and fellow team members.Maintains effective relations with local building officials and inspectors. Schedules all necessary inspections and material delivery in a manner that ensures on time schedule performance.Maintains an organized and safe worksite by ensuring that WH Bass safety policies are carried out. Promotes job site safety, institutes safe work practices, and immediately addresses and rectifies any job site hazards and unsafe worksite practices.Ability to effectively communicate job progress and issues to the Bass Project Manager.Continually update schedules and complete final punch list

    Superintendent Qualifications, Attributes and Physical Requirements

    Experienced in scheduling, ordering materials/supplies, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of commercial construction.Experience as a traveling commercial building construction superintendentThe ability to occasionally help on a construction site when needed could include helping the team carry heavy loads, the ability to be standing and walking for long periods of time and to get on and off construction equipment and stage/store construction materials.Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.Well-developed people skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of people including fellow team members, customers, city personnel, subcontractors and others involved in the construction of the project.Professionally and technically competent
