    The Opportunity:

    We are looking for candidates with experience and a thorough knowledge of a diverse range of Electrical, Power Distribution, motor control, troubleshooting, and repair. Some of the equipment is as follows. Programmable logic controllers. Variable speed drives. Various industrial communication protocols. Motor control circuits. Electrical power distribution equipment such as feeder breakers, switches, transformers, and associated relays. AC induction motors, DC motors, AC synchronous motors and controls. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation plant maintenance to include preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting plant equipment. The ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop sheets, process and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment manuals. The ability to understand and troubleshoot various forms of control logic, such as ladder logic, and function block diagrams. The ability to use and understand various types of test equipment such as calibration equipment, digital multi-meters, megohmmeters, etc. Must possess a working knowledge of electrical safety precautions and procedures for example, LOTO, NFPA-70E. Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and control equipment throughout the mill. Use of data historian software.     The Opportunity:

    As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Must be able to apply knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restore in all areas of Manufacturing.

    Primary duties include the install, start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements; inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved and maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. The job also includes performing preventative maintenance functions as directed, assisting maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting, and performing other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong desire to learn the maintenance of complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company.

    Industrial Mechanic

    Pay: $29.62/hr

    Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including but not limited to performing basic trade activities such as electrical (if qualified and authorized), plumbing, welding (if qualified and authorized), and carpentry work.

    • Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment

    . • Maintains and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuring they are in safe and efficient working order.

    Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including but not limited to performing basic trade activities such as electrical (if qualified and authorized), plumbing, welding (if qualified and authorized), and carpentry work.

    • Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment

    . • Maintains and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuring they are in safe and efficient working order.

    • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.

    • May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.

    • Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment to assure optimum performance of that production process.

    • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or another member of the leadership team.
