Maintenance Technician - Winston-Salem, NC
Shift: 3rd shift - 11pm to 7am
The Opportunity:
As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for supporting the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Must be able to apply knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restore in all areas of Manufacturing.
Primary duties include the install, start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements; inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved and maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. The job also includes performing preventative maintenance functions as directed, assisting maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting, and performing other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong desire to learn the maintenance of complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company.
What you need to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years' electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting Military training and/or technical school preferred , but not required. Computer experience/operation and PLC Programming Must be available to work 3 rd shift. Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned. Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations. A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
