    We're looking for a Major Gifts Associate!


    What you'll be doing:

    The Major Gifts Associate (MGA) exercises discretion and independent judgement to identify and sustain new donors to expand the revenue pool for various projects, facilitates relationships with individual donors, provides friendly and courteous service to contributors, and initiates and maintains relationships with other non-profit organizations for project collaborations. This position can be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work. In summary, this individual will:

    Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 existing donors and 125 new prospects, and create fundraising strategies for allDevelop relationships with existing donors, solicit individual gifts, increase existing gifts, and steward these membersInitiate and participate in in-person cultivation and solicitation meetings, as well as through written proposals and digital communicationsBe responsible for the accurate and timely documentation of all donor contracts and updates in the prospect databaseParticipate in department cultivation events; actively interact and provide facetime with attendees and promote BTPM programs and resourcesUse relevant technologies (e.g. CRM, Canva, MS Office, etc.) to support department activities and measure fundraising resultsWork with various departments to enhance fundraising activities. Initiate and maintain relationships with external non-profit organizations and stakeholders for project collaborations

    What you'll need:

    Minimum of associate's degree in business, marketing or a related fieldMinimum of two (2) years of fundraising, professional nonprofit development experience (related internship experience is acceptable)Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to connect with multiple individuals, persuade donors, prepare compelling proposals for individuals and funding organizationsDemonstrated track record of proven success in securing individual gifts, including annual fund support, major, and planned giftsDemonstrated skills in effective relationship management with high-level and mid-level supportersFlexible to meet changing and dynamic aspects of donor fundraisingMust have ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive donor and organizational informationStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in all forms - face-to-face, virtually, via phone/email, etc.Demonstrated proficiency with fundraising databases and use of various computer programs, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technologies quickly and assist with user adoption and supportMust be able to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines and donor needs/availabilityMust have valid driver license and reliable transportation to meet travel requirements, including the ability to travel internationally to and from CanadaExceptional organization and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and prioritizeComfortable and effective working both independently and in team-based environments

    Salary and Benefits:

    This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview. Starting range: $19.33-$24.16
