Responsible for performing duties in a variety of areas which may include all or one of the following: Retail - serving, prepping, cleaning, restocking, cashiering, while also demonstrating great customer service skills. Tray Line - working on a patient tray assembly line, preparing patient meals within the specifications of the diet order and patient preferences. Utility safely transporting patient meal food carts to and from nursing units, warewashing of dishes, pots and pans; basic housekeeping of walls, floors, windows and equipment. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Ensures the Safety of Customers and Team Members (according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and County Health Department Guidelines) * Washes hands frequently and appropriately wears gloves. * Follows infection prevention practices, including personal hygiene expectations (i.e., fingernail length and finish) and reports potential risks * Maintains all the work areas in a clean and organized manner; free of spills and fall hazards. * Monitors and records food and/or equipment temperatures; immediately correcting/escalating out of range occurrences. * Stores food and/or supplies using proper labeling, dating and rotation methods. * Operates equipment according to all safety guidelines and escalates any unsafe conditions (i.e., frayed electrical cords). Ensures Positive Service Outcomes * Follows department work schedule (including weekends and holidays) and arrives at the work station prior to task start time. * Sets up, maintains and breaks down workstation according to area requirements. * Follows written and verbal instructions and station responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail. * Completes area checklists and forms. * Operates and cares for equipment according to manufacturers and area specific guidelines. * Remains flexible to support other team members across the department to achieve desired service outcomes. The Associate Physicist also assists in matters of protection of patients and staff from radiation in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Daily duties * Work with other physics staff and assist in the general medical physics duties pertaining to operating a radiation therapy facility. * Ensures that every treatment plan is checked and/or IMRT QA performed before the first fraction. * Provides quality assurance of patient treatment through weekly checking of patients charts and attending general chart rounds. * Performs routine or specialized dosimetry to check the treatment plan parameters. * Performs spot checks and reviews all technical and scientific data generated from simulation through treatment in order to ensure accuracy and precision of patients treatment plan. * Designs and fabricates special ancillary equipment, immobilization devices, compensating filters, molds and blocking devices. * Performs chart checks for any mathematical errors or prescription changes that may have occurred throughout the course of treatment. * Provides consultation to assure accurate radiation dose delivery. * Verifies proper operation and safety of all machines and sources producing radiation in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. * Upholds, maintains and establishes adequate protocols to ensure accurate patient dosimetry. * Follows all radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain safe environment for patients, personnel and visitors. * Ensures proper documentation is recorded and maintained. * Participates in all ongoing protocol studies with respect to gathering correct data and documentation of materials. * Assists RSO with the Radiation Safety Program * Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department by performing other duties as assigned by the Medical Physicist. Responsible for performing CMA clinical duties to include, but not limited to obtaining vital signs, administering limited profile of medications/injections per approved policy, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, cleaning equipment, ordering/stocking supplies, and maintaining exam rooms in an outpatient care setting. Assists in emergencies as directed by licensed provider or RN. Duties are practice site-specific and may fluctuate based on location. Work Shift Night (United States of America) The Emergency Department at Cobb Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic! This position is Part-Time/Night shift (7 pm - 7 am). Job Summary: Reports to Manager of Emergency Department. The Emergency Department Paramedic is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. In addition, the paramedic promotes and restores patients' health and the overall patient experience by collaborating with physicians, RNs, and multi-disciplinary team members, and providing support to patients, families and significant others. The ED Medical Director oversees the scope of practice of the paramedic in the ED in accordance with the Georgia Paramedic Scope of Practice and the Wellstar Paramedic Scope of Practice. It is expected that all Emergency Department Paramedics possess a Georgia paramedic license and the national registry certification for paramedics. The paramedic must be knowledgeable and adhere to the scope of paramedic practices as outlined in the Georgia Department of Human Resources Division of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services scope of practices. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Patient Care * Assists medical and nursing staff with the care and treatment of Emergency patients * Assists in the intake process by greeting and interviewing patients and inputting pertinent medical information into the computer system. * Performs and assists nursing and medical staff in various diagnostic testing and procedures such as performing EKG, placing patients on the cardiac monitor, venipuncture, point of care testing, wound care, applying orthopedic devices and equipment, applying splints and casts and other duties assigned within the scope of practice. * Perform functions as delegated by the RN such as: i. Initiate IV ii. Administer Oral, IM and some IV medications iii. Perform glucose monitoring iv. Perform ISTAT testing * Transport patients to the ICU * Transport and monitor critical patients * Assist with patient flow in the ED * Perform command center technician duties * Perform monitor tech duties * Receive EMS patients into the ED and begin to collect data to assist the RN in the initial triage and assessment of the patient * Assist with education of the patient and family. * Respond as assigned to Trauma Alert, Code Fast, STEMI Alerts Technician Duties * Ensure that the rooms are patient ready * Stock patient care rooms * Clean in accordance with infection control policies rooms in between patients * Transport patients as requested by the RN Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
