We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to Civil Litigation, Trusts and Estates Litigation, and other related practice areas. This role demands excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents, as well as the capacity to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. The Paralegal will be responsible for conducting thorough legal research, providing strategic counsel, and assisting with managing case files from inception through resolution. In addition to their legal expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm. Duties
Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw to support case preparation.Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.Assist attorneys in the preparation for hearings, trials, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence.Interview clients and witnesses to gather information pertinent to cases.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal standards.Manage case calendars, deadlines, and schedules for attorneys.Provide administrative support by managing correspondence, filing documents with courts, and maintaining client files.Stay updated on changes in laws relevant our firm’s practice areas.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to Civil Litigation.Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.A degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
