If you are looking to just be an employee, this is not the right position for you.Our goal is to find a Partner who will help establish WCC as a respected general contractor across DFW and into the broader Texas Triangle. We are looking for individuals with experience managing subcontractors and working with owners and developers, who bring a rolodex that will allow us to begin building a team and bidding residential and flex developments across our target markets.You will own hiring and business development. We will bring execution capital, an established operations team (accounting, estimating, and project management), $1M bonding capacity with room to grow, $1-2M in liquidity, MBE certification, and a sister-company development pipeline to build for.ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute WCC's growth strategy across the Texas TriangleBuild and manage the developer, architect, owner, and GC relationship baseCoordinate with Web City Properties' development team on in-house design-build projectsLead estimating, preconstruction, and bid strategyDirect project management, scheduling, quality, and safety on active projectsBuild and manage the subcontractor and trade partner networkRecruit, hire, and develop project managers, superintendents, and field staffOwn contract structure, change orders, bonding, insurance, and risk managementManage relationships with municipalities, lenders, architects, and inspectorsDrive on-time, on-budget project delivery and division P&LQualifications10+ years in mid-size to large commercial construction, with at least 3 years in senior leadership (Senior PM, Project Executive, Director of Construction, VP Operations, or owner)Based in Texas, ideally DFWExtensive experience in business development or salesDeep, active DFW subcontractor and GC relationshipsRolodex of owners, developers, and architects in our target verticals (multifamily, BTR, subdivisions, adaptive re-use, flex industrial)Strong financial fluency: estimating, schedule of values, cost-to-complete, lender draw managementTrack record of hiring and building construction teams from the ground upValues-aligned on quality construction, community impact, and serving underserved areasCompensationEquity participation and base salary structured to reflect the level of responsibility and conviction the operating partner brings.
