WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.
Position Summary:
Supports CPSS staff working in clinic roles. Provides daily coordination, shadowing, and coaching while maintaining a small caseload or group facilitation responsibility. Not a formal supervisor but a peer leader.
Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) are individuals with lived experience in behavioral health recovery who are certified by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) to provide peer support services. CPSSs use their lived experience to support others in finding their own path to wellness and recovery. They provide non-clinical, person-centered support in alignment with DOH guidelines, emphasizing mutuality, empowerment, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
Duties & Responsibilities (per DOH guidance):
Coordinate group coverage and clinic-based peer assignments Mentor new CPSS staff and support new peer onboarding and field training Facilitate or co-lead one peer group weekly and provide coverage as needed Report team updates and concerns to the CPSS Supervisor Support CPSS/CPSS Trainee as needed Build recovery-oriented relationships using mutual respect, trust, and lived experience Support members in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental peer support Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups, education sessions, or engagement activities Offer harm-reduction resources, information, and linkage to services Document services provided in a timely, accurate, and ethical manner Maintain peer role boundaries and uphold the DOH Code of Ethics for Certified Peer Counselors Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and represent the voice of lived experience Advocate for the member internally and externallyMinimum Qualifications:
WA State Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainee credential (required) CPC Certification At least 1 year experience as a CPSS or CPC prior to credential changes Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills Self-identified as a person in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition and/or have a family member who has experienced mental health and/or substance use condition Commitment to recovery values including self-determination, peer support, and empowerment Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and model professional boundariesPreferred Qualifications:

Position Summary:
The Care Navigator plays a pivotal role in supporting patient care and engagement by providing on-demand peer services, crisis intervention, and de-escalation support. Stationed in the lobby, the Care Navigator serves as a vital resource for patient engagement, pre-registration assistance, and overall care coordination. Acting as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers, the Care Navigator ensures seamless access to services and support throughout the patient's care journey.
Key Responsibilities:Patient EngagementAssist patients with the Web-App and other pre-registration tasks, ensuring they receive the support needed to navigate their healthcare journey.Crisis InterventionProvide immediate support for mental health crises, including suicidal or homicidal ideation, by employing motivational interviewing and de-escalation techniques.Queue ManagementMonitor patient queues to ensure timely service, alerting the SUD team if a patient has been waiting longer than 5 minutes.Crisis SupportOffer emotional and de-escalation support across departments, helping patients navigate overwhelming feelings and barriers to care.Administrative SupportManage critical reports, including the 45/90-day report and UA intervention report.Support SUD teams with rooming and patient care as needed.Departmental CoverageProvide backup support for the PSR desk and the Neighborhood Center.Answer questions related to the SUD/Peer program and assist with overall clinic operations.Additional Duties:Arrange patient transportation as needed.Generate billable check-ins for peer services.Advocate for patients, helping them overcome barriers to care.Ensure smooth transitions for unenrolled and outreach patients.Qualifications:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in crisis intervention and motivational interviewing preferred.Familiarity with healthcare or peer support services is a plus.The Care Navigator is instrumental in fostering a supportive and accessible healthcare environment, ensuring every patient feels empowered and cared for throughout their journey.

What You'll Do:
Help members access critical resources, including housing, education, employment, and identification services.Serve as a strong advocate for members, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.Guide individuals and families in identifying services and activities that promote recovery and enhance their quality of life.Lead engaging group counseling sessions, fostering connection and peer support.Provide individual counseling, using your own recovery story (when appropriate) to inspire and guide members.Encourage members to take personal responsibility and develop self-management skills on their recovery journey.Assist members in setting and achieving meaningful recovery goals.Promote self-advocacy and the development of supportive relationships.Help members regain control and success in their lives through stable housing, education, and employment opportunities.Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided, ensuring compliance with Medicaid and clinic standards.Uphold all confidentiality and privacy policies to protect member information.Work closely with the mobile clinic team to provide integrated, member-focused care.Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and process improvements.Support onboarding and mentorship of new team members as needed.Support the mission with all other duties as assigned!What You Bring:
