The Associate Wealth Advisor is an essential part of the Waverly Advisors team, providing comprehensive support to our high-net-worth clients by working closely with experienced Wealth Advisors. The Associate Wealth Advisor assists advisors with the operational needs of their clients, helps to manage client relationships, and actively participates in the advanced planning process. This is accomplished through ongoing communication, excellent client service and outstanding operational support. This role is ideal for those who wish to develop client advisory skills under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced Wealth Advisory team. A successful candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members, critical attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, an energetic and positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Organizational skills, resiliency and flexibility, promptness and the ability to anticipate needs are necessary in all tasks and responsibilities. Associate Wealth Advisor Responsibilities: Facilitates the client consulting process through the preparation and follow-up of each step of the client experience and active participation in client meetings. Supports Wealth Advisors in business development while driving their own efforts to generate organic growth. Executes client requests, updates client information, and follows up on open items for advisors and clients. Builds a strong wealth management acumen with an understanding of Waverlys investment philosophy and ongoing general market outlook, portfolio construction and management, goals-based financial planning, alongside estate, tax and philanthropic planning considerations. Prepares client meeting materials and attends client and/or prospect meetings. Collaborates with financial planners and wealth advisors to develop financial plans that assist clients to understand their financial picture and develop strategies to achieve their goals. Monitors clients asset allocations, rebalancing of portfolios, and trade recommendations by working with Wealth Advisors and our internal trading team. Manages completion of deliverables from start to finish with Client Service Associates and/or various internal and external parties as needed. Provides diligent documentation of client communication and utilizes CRM software. Serves day-to-day client needs and collaborates with team members to ensure the highest level of service. Provides on-demand and scheduled reports to advisors and clients, as requested. Participates in and contributes to team meetings, as assigned. Reviews quarterly reports for accuracy. Tracks and completes any special projects throughout the year as needed. Manages client onboarding process and facilitates new account paperwork with client service team. Utilizes various custodial platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity and Pershing to help maintain client accounts as needed. Travel: Minimal travel is required. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors Degree required preferably in Finance, Business, economics, or a related field. At least one of the following designations: CFA or CFP. Three to seven years experience in the financial services industry, preferably at an RIA. Advanced experience utilizing financial planning software, with a strong preference for RightCapital. Proficiency in a CRM such as Salesforce. Experience working with financial custodians such as Schwab, Pershing, or Fidelity. Detail-oriented self-starter with problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility. Effective speaking and presentation skills. Excellent writing proficiency. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously. Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment and independently. Responsibilities: Serves as a primary point of contact for client service matters related to private funds (subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, statements, etc.). Coordinates all aspects of private fund onboarding, including paperwork, compliance requirements, and custodian integration. Maintains and updates internal systems and client records related to alternative investments. Liaise with fund administrators and general partners to gather documentation and resolve client inquiries. Supports the quarterly and annual reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborates with advisors, portfolio managers, and operations to deliver a high-touch client experience. Assists in the creation and review of client presentations, investment summaries, and fund performance updates. Responds to all internal and external requests in a timely manner. Coordinates with Private Funds team on any alternative investment subscriptions and redemptions. Tracks and updates client-related information in SharePoint and Salesforce. Tracks information sent to custodians for verification of receipt and completed work. Follows Waverly compliance policies and procedures related to client requests and other matters. Qualifications and Experience: At least 2 years of client service experience in financial services Bachelor’s Degree or higher or, in lieu of a college degree, 5 years of experience in financial services. Experience with private investments (PE, real estate, etc.) and alternative fund structures. Expertise in Outlook and proficient skills in the Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems is preferred. Experience with Schwab, Pershing, and Fidelity, preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and CRM systems.
