    Lead the Teams Building Vermont’s Telecommunications Infrastructure

    We are seeking an experienced Telecom Field Construction Supervisor to oversee and support telecom network construction projects throughout the Burlington, Vermont market. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing field operations, supporting crews, driving project timelines, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe, efficient execution across multiple telecommunications projects.

    The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with proven telecom construction experience who is equally comfortable managing crews in the field and coordinating operations from the office. We are looking for someone local to the Burlington area who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can lead by example while helping grow and develop high-performing teams.

    What You Will Do:

    Provide day-to-day leadership, technical oversight, and administration of telecom construction crews.Oversee the installation and construction of telecommunications network elements in both Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) environments.Manage field construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and project priorities across multiple active construction projects.Review work maps, prints, and construction designs to ensure quality execution and productivity.Monitor daily production, quality performance, and time reporting for field teams.Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and operational support to construction personnel.Lead, coach, mentor, and develop field technicians and team leads to drive accountability and performance.Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, urgency, and customer satisfaction.Identify construction challenges and roadblocks and implement effective solutions in real time.Regularly communicate project status, risks, timelines, and resource needs with project management and leadership teams.Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, retention, and employee development initiatives.Collaborate with training teams to support employee growth and operational excellence.Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer requirements, OSHA regulations, DOT standards, and industry safety practices.Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for elevated field or operational issues.

    What we're looking for:

    Proven experience supervising telecom construction projects in fiber optic and telecommunications environments.Hands-on experience with fiber optic splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and network activation.Experience reviewing and interpreting OTDR results, power meter testing, and splice loss documentationStrong knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) construction practices.Experience supporting aerial, underground, and buried fiber network construction.Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, evolving construction environment.Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues, operational challenges, and field escalations effectively.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience reviewing construction prints, work maps, and project documentation.Understanding of supervisory techniques, employee relations, coaching, and performance management.Strong communication and leadership skills.Moderate computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.Ability to identify and address safety and quality concerns proactively.Independent thinker with strong decision-making abilities and accountability.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

    Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Drive and operate a vehicle, and/or bucket. Environmental conditions: exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work. Work is performed in and out an office environment.

    The Telecom Underground Construction Foreman will perform general labor duties in the field of telecom underground construction. Based out of the office in Fairfield ME, the Foreman will be someone who can operate all machinery and has experience with telecommunication buried plant.

    What You Will Do

    Familiar with, and understand the use of underground utility construction tools; use of jackhammers/chipping guns, compactors, shovels, and other hand toolsDrive to and from job sites throughout the Maine region as well as perform general construction labor at the job site including loading, digging, and placing underground cabling that would vary in size, shape, and weight.Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job siteAbility to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasksRegular contact with co-workers and customers; work as part of a team environmentTravel throughout the region with the Underground Crew, and overseeing an apprentice in the roleOther duties as assigned

    As Centerline expand our offices in the Maine area, we’re looking to add qualified Fiber Splice Technicians to support growing demand across the Northeast. This role requires a mix of independent fieldwork and on-site customer collaboration, with a focus on ISP, OSP, and aerial fiber builds. We’re seeking candidates who are technically skilled, customer-focused, and ready to grow with a team known for professionalism and quality.

    What You Will Do:

    A solid understanding of multiple OSP/ISP splice enclosures by various manufacturers.Have undergone additional training or immersion into one or more specific customers’ needs and demonstrate responsibility for those needsBe able to demonstrate advanced cable prep/single and mass fusion splicing, and termination abilities.Excellent fiber optic test and troubleshooting abilities to include fiber characterization, iOLM, and advanced documentation and deliverable responsibilities.Demonstrate a strong ability to work with others and train more junior technicians, and basic crew/project management abilities and responsibilitiesHave a basic understanding of and abilities to negotiate ARC/GIS, Telvent, and Trimble softwareAbility to understand that to the nature of the job, travel, night, weekend, and holiday work, including on-call responsibilities, will be a requirement.

    What You Will Need:
