    I. Job Summary
    Manages employees and activities associated with the timely filing and remittance of all necessary taxes resulting from company operations. The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll tax department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws for a large, diverse workforce. The successful candidate will be well-versed in payroll tax processes, taxation on equity compensation, year-end tax filings, and payroll audits. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex payroll tax issues while working closely with other departments to maintain business continuity. The Payroll Tax Manager ensures that processes are carried out efficiently, deadlines are met, and the company complies with all compliance and standards expected of the payroll function.

    II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

    Manages and oversees the timely filing and remittance of all necessary and applicable taxes, including but not limited to: federal and state withholding, unemployment, and locals. Oversee and manage daily payroll tax operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while adhering to local, state, and federal tax regulations, as well as applicable labor laws. Possess in-depth knowledge of taxable transactions, such as Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), stock options, and other equity-based compensation, ensuring correct reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and appropriate withholding for all related tax liabilities. Researches tax laws to assure that the company is collecting and remitting the appropriate taxes. Manages the filing all payroll tax returns and remittance for the company, in all federal, state, and local jurisdictions, US and Canada. Manages the company's response to all unemployment claims and verifications. Maintains the working relationship with the company's outside service provider. Manage the year-end tax process, including the preparation of year-end reports, reconciliation of payroll tax data, and working with external auditors on year-end reporting requirements. Manages the company's compliance with state tax laws, including annual filings and specific item investigation and resolution. Collaborate with other functional payroll managers to ensure the reliable and accurate end-to-end delivery of payroll.

    Experience with large-scale, payroll operationProficiency in Oracle HCM, ADP Smart Compliance.Ability to identify, mediate, and resolve complex payroll tax issuesDisplays strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and develop a team of junior resources
