    Job Description: JTAC Simulator Operator (This position is contingent upon contract award.)

    Job Type: Full time and On-site

    Position Summary:

    Walsingham Group is seeking a JTAC Simulator Operator to support the AFSOC GSU Special Operations Forces Support program. This role supports Joint Terminal Attack Control (JTAC) operations through simulator operations, scenario development, and training support requirements.

    Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Operate JTAC simulators including JTC-TRS, DT-100, HAVIC, and newly fielded accredited systemsPerform Basic Simulator Operator (BSO) duties: software updates, scenario loads, and database managementDevelop, implement, and maintain Close Air Support (CAS) simulator scenarios per applicable guidanceTroubleshoot simulator issues; document and report to vendor and Government (CO/COR) within 72 hoursProvide monthly simulator status and issue reporting (MSR)Support JTAC/JTAC-I/JTAC-E duties during classroom, simulator, range, Live/Dry/Simulated/LVC eventsParticipate in LVC/DMO exercises and attend JTAC conferences/symposiums as requiredAssist with JTAC academics and SOF JTAC Records Management System (SRMS) upkeep

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Top Secret Clearance/ SCI (TS or Interim TS required)Bachelor’s degree or equivalent JTAC training/operations experienceCurrent JTAC-I rating within the past 24 monthsDoD 8570 IAT Level 1 (or ability to obtain within 6 months)USAF JTC-TRS Basic or Designated Simulator Operators Course (BSO/DSO)Minimum 2 years Active Duty/Guard/Reserve SOF JTAC experienceStrong communication skills and familiarity with military C2 structuresLand navigation/map & compass proficiency; capable with Lat/Long and UTM coordinatesValid civilian driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain military vehicle licenseAble to lift at least 60 lbs

    Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Provide JTAC instruction, training, and student tracking responsibilities.Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets.Must have held or exceeded a JTAC Instructor qualification (regardless of position) as defined in service JTAC guidance or instructions (e.g., JFS ESC AP MOA 2004-01, USSOCOM M350-5, AFSOCI 13-50).

    Minimum Qualifications:

    JTAC-I qualification and certification within the last 48 months.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret; TS/SCI PreferredMinimum of two (2) years Special Operations Forces (SOF) background OR augmented SOF for a cumulative two (2) years as a JTAC during operational deployments.Working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, local, state, and federal agencies as applicable to required JTAC and SUAS operations.Familiarity with military command and control structures.Valid civilian driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a valid military driver’s license for operated military vehicles.Physical capability to lift at least a 60-pound box to perform JTAC and SUAS duties.Land navigation / map and compass skills sufficient to read and locate points of interest and targets using latitude/longitude and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinates.Excellent communication skills.
