    Sr. Data Engineer - Azure


    Overview

    Want to build the kind of data platforms that teams actually trust and use every day? In this Sr. Data Engineer role, you'll design & develop solutions for their Azure platform and for Azure Services like ADF. You'll lead the effort to design and sustain robust, large-scale data infrastructure built on MS Azure with the goal of delivering secure, dependable data solutions that meet enterprise-wide demands.

    Core Qualifications

    Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Data FactoryStrong SQL skills (Azure SQL or SQL Server)Proven track record crafting solutions within MS Azure cloud environmentsPractical experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines for data workflowsSolid grasp of data modeling principles, both dimensional and relationalFamiliarity with version control tools and Agile delivery practices


    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    Build and sustain data pipelines using Azure Data FactoryDevelop and refine data solutions across Azure SQL, SQL Server, and related Azure data servicesEstablish CI/CD workflows for data engineering tasks using Azure DevOps or similar toolsApply data modeling techniques to support analytics and reporting needsMaintain pipeline performance, scalability, and data integrityCollaborate with architects, analysts, and application teams on integration effortsSupport deployments, monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist with production supportAdhere to organizational security, governance, and compliance standards


    Nice-to-Have Strengths

    Exposure to complementary Azure tools such as Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Data LakeExperience handling streaming data via Azure Event HubsBackground supporting reporting or analytics platforms, including Power BI dashboard developmentWorking knowledge of data governance or data quality frameworks


    Preferred Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

    Our client is a specialty manufacturer producing custom, build-to-order products in a complex production environment. They are seeking a Planning Manager to lead production and material planning, ensuring customer demand translates into reliable, executable plans on the shop floor.

    This role sits at the intersection of procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain, balancing capacity, material availability, and shifting priorities to keep delivery commitments on track. It's a strong fit for someone who thrives on solving constraint puzzles and driving cross-functional execution.

    Responsibilities

    Build and maintain production schedules that reflect customer orders, forecasts, and shifting business prioritiesConvert demand signals into actionable production and replenishment plansRe-sequence and adjust plans in response to material shortages, capacity limits, or operational disruptionsKeep planning activity aligned with ERP/MRP system data and outputsEvaluate capacity, labor, and material readiness to determine what's realistically achievablePartner with procurement and replenishment teams to head off supply risk before it impacts productionPinpoint bottlenecks and recommend tradeoffs that improve throughput and service levelsWork cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and customer service to align execution plansCommunicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans clearly to affected stakeholdersContribute data and analysis to S&OP and broader planning processesRelease and track work orders, flagging execution risks and recommending corrective actionProvide regular status updates to support fast, informed decision-makingMonitor planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, backlog, and material availabilityMaintain accuracy of planning master data and support ongoing ERP/MRP improvementsLead, coach, and manage performance for the Materials and Replenishment teams


    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field10+ years of experience in production, supply, or materials planning within a manufacturing settingBackground in build-to-order or complex manufacturing environments strongly preferredHands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems requiredPrior experience leading a team preferredAPICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification a plusAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving capabilityEffective communicator who can manage stakeholders across departmentsComfortable prioritizing and driving execution amid frequent changeDetail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
