    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and talented individual interested in a career in Preconstruction. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced estimators and engineers to develop competitive proposals for impactful projects.

    The ideal candidate will bring innovative thinking while analyzing project plans, performing quantity take-offs, and developing accurate cost estimates. This position plays a key role in shaping successful project outcomes and contributing to meaningful community developments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage the full cycle of estimating and analysis with guidance from senior estimators

    Review drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy

    Develop cost estimates by obtaining pricing from vendors and subcontractors

    Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and unit pricing for review

    Collaborate with senior leadership on estimating strategies

    Train and mentor junior estimators, supporting their professional growth

    Participate in design-assist phases of projects

    Meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy

    Conduct occasional job site visits

    Skills & Abilities:

    Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn new tools and technologies

    Knowledge of the electrical construction industry

    Ability to interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications

    Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

    Solid math and basic accounting skills

    Leadership potential with the ability to guide and support team members

    Excellent organizational and time management skills

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

    Required Qualifications:

    Experience in estimating, construction engineering, or construction management preferred

    Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

    Experience with estimating and scheduling software is a plus

    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred

    (Equivalent experience of 5+ years in electrical construction may be considered in lieu of a degree)

    As a Project Manager you will be responsible for working with the field, office and client to ensure that your project runs smoothly from cost to complete.     Duties & Responsibilities:

    Maintain contact with the client to understand the scope of work as well as material and time.

    Present detailed estimates, plan reviews and bids for project(s).

    Compare documents for accuracy and potential pitfalls.

    Manage change orders under the direction of the department manager, including negotiations.

    Communicate with onsite field leadership to understand progress and project is on schedule.

    Prepare estimates for labor and materials based on information from estimating and field leadership.

    Stay in the know of project progress and implement changes as needed under the direction of the department manager.

    Prepare and present monthly costing reports to the department manager.

    Responsible for managing all financial aspects from delivery of equipment and materials, man hours, stock levels, etc.

    Work with vendors to curb material costs and delayed deliveries.

    Attending meetings with all interested parties to ensure there is a clear and concise plan moving forward.

    Project confidence to the client so they are confident in efforts and abilities to overcome any dilemma.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.

    Relatable experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

    5 years of electrical PM experience is preferred.

    Ability to work under pressure.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Accubid

    Self-starter who is proactive including business development.

    High level of communication skills (including listening skills)

    Qualifications

    Current or immediate most recent employer has to be a lighting distributor in order to be considered

    Experience in cost estimating, budget analysis, and project management

    Knowledge of lighting design, electrical systems, and relevant codes and standards

    Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to work independently and remotely

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Consultation

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.

    Review bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.

    Perform take-offs from electrical plans and specifications using Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar software.

    Ensure estimates comply with NEC and project requirements.

    Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to clarify scope and costs.

    Review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

    Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation using Bidtracer.

    Maintain the estimating database to ensure up-to-date pricing information.

    Follow up on estimates with customers in a timely manner.

    Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with general contractors, developers, and end users.

    Support continuous improvement in estimating procedures and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    3-7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction.

    Working knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements.

    Ability to work independently to produce accurate and competitive estimates.

    Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid) and plan review tools (Bluebeam).

    Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    Hands-on electrical field experience preferred.
