    Job Summary

    The Computer Systems Analyst I will support the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Guam and Base Communications Office (BCO) in Guam. This position will additionally provide support to the Network Operations (NET Ops) and Information Assurance which includes ONE-NET Local Network Support Center (LNSC) Guam, Legacy Networks, Certification & Accreditation, EKMS supporting 29 area Navy commands and transiting forces.

    As with any position, additional expectations exist. These include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies, communicating regularly with assigned supervisors, and completing other tasks as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    Within Net OPS/Transport: Install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot and repair voice and non-voice communications systemsInstall, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot and repair inside plant copper and fiber cabling and house wiringPerform PMIs, site surveys and cost estimates related to installation or removal of voice and non-voice systems, house cabling and related telephony equipment and power plantsInstall, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot and repair voice and non-voice communications systemsInstall, remove, maintain, modify, test, troubleshoot and repair layer 1 premises wiring, jacks and other structured-wiring components supporting non-voice service and data services including Category (CAT) 3, CAT 5, CAT 6, and fiber optic wiring and componentsPerform site surveys to determine installation requirements and costs for voice and non-voice services as related to the provisioning of CAT 3/5/6 structured wiring systems and components, and fiber optic house cablingPrepare reports and work with online workflow management systems associated with installation and repairsAcquire and work with GIS data related to premises wiring and servicesWork during inclement weather and recalled to support restoration of high priority NCTS Base Communications network and system outages when requiredMeet DON Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) and DON Cyberspace Information Technology & Cybersecurity Workforce Management & Qualification Manual (SECNAV M-5239.2) certification requirements and perform all work in accordance with CSWF, as applicable to include obtaining certifications

    Basic Qualifications

    Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting of up to 25 lbsPersonnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizensPersonnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations and clearances (to include periodic reinvestigations)Personnel Security Clearance. Contractor personnel shall obtain and maintain at a minimum a security clearance level of SECRET to work on this requirement.Contractor personnel supporting may be eligible for work with a security clearance level of TOP SECRET. Interim clearances are acceptablePersonnel shall possess a valid Guam driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle on Guam.     Job Summary

    VSolvit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a deep understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) to join our team at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu in Southern California. The successful candidate will work in this beautiful coastal location between Malibu and Santa Barbara at the Naval Base Ventura County, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.

    Candidate initiative must be demonstrated by an effective communicator who can lead EW Battlespace Autonomy software development quickly and intuitively. EW Autonomy expectations are the integration of autonomous and semi-autonomous technologies, typically powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, into EW systems to improve their effectiveness, speed, and adaptability in complex, contested environments.

    As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor, and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing tasks as assigned.


    Responsibilities

    Software design, development, and deployment of EW Battlespace Autonomy custom applications and workflows

    Serve as Software Mentor to junior EW Battlespace Autonomy software developers

    Develop software solutions utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (Java currently)

    Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards

    Integrate security principles and best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle

    Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of solutions

    Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions

    Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical customer audiences


    Basic Qualifications

    Must be a U.S. Citizen

    Must possess Secret Clearance and hold it as a condition of employment

    If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

    Experience working with Navy Electronic Warfare systems

    BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics

    10+ years of experience in SW design and development, coding and testing

    Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (Java currently)

    Experience in Algorithm and Data Structure development

    Experience in Software Unit Testing
