Job Summary

The staff pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy services to the company and consumers through the appropriate evaluation of physician orders, compounding of sterile preparations, and safe and efficient dispensing of medications, supplies, and administration equipment. The staff pharmacist may supervise the activities of pharmacy support personnel, as well as quality control and performance improvement procedures. This position reports to the pharmacy manager This position can, at any time, be required to assume the duties of any of the various job summaries within the franchised pharmacy, refer to all other job summaries for job requirements. The staff pharmacist may serve as the backup administrative manager of the pharmacy if the primary manager is unavailable for a prolonged period of time.
Qualifications
Required: Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of patient services; actively licensed in the state of patient servicesRequired: Good interactive skills with employees, referral sources, physicians, and consumersPreferred: Three (3) years clinical experiencePreferred: Minimum one (1) year of experience with infusion therapy and sterile compoundingPreferred: Sterile compounding trainingPreferred: Experience with management of pharmacy support personnel
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of PharmacyRegistered with Oklahoma State Board of PharmacyGeneral knowledge of USP 797Knowledge of IV products and compounding proceduresKnowledge of proper gowning procedure and aseptic techniqueAbility to perform pharmacy calculations and adhere to policies and procedures6 months IV experience minimum

Compensation will include a competitive base salary and benefits. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
