    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVIP Staffing is Now Hiring: System Protection Engineer (I–IV or Principal) Texas City, TX $110K–$160K DOE
    Work on relay settings, system studies, NERC/CIP compliance, and high-voltage equipment up to 345kV. Great role for engineers who love solving complex protection challenges and want real impact on grid reliability.
    You’ll do: Perform short circuit, overcurrent, and distance coordination studies using ASPEN OnelinerDevelop and modify protective relay settings to maintain system reliabilityAnalyze system disturbances and recommend mitigation plans in compliance with NERC PRC-004Serve as SME for assigned NERC and/or CIP compliance standardsReview relaying one-lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay design deliverablesEnsure adherence to company standards and NERC/CIP requirementsProvide technical support to field personnelTrain and mentor less experienced staffParticipate in peer reviewsCommunicate engineering recommendations to internal and external stakeholdersRepresent the company in advanced engineering mattersApply engineering expertise to improve or develop new standardsProvide technical direction to contractors and internal teamsPerform all work safely and efficientEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution required.Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentsAbility to write reports, correspondence, and deliver presentationsAbility to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and leadershipProficiency with electrical engineering design softwareStrong skills in word processing, databases, and spreadsheetsAbility to follow complex written, oral, or diagram instructionsAbility to solve multifaceted problems involving multiple variablesPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree or focus in Power Systems EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseValid driver’s license meeting company driving requirementsWe offer: Medical, dental, vision 401(k) match + company contribution Sign-on/relocation possible Career paths from entry-level to PrincipalIf you’re ready to grow your protection engineering career, we want to meet you.Apply Today!#vipstaffing #zrnm Read Less
