Project Finance / Tax Equity Associate or Senior Associate - Denver / Los Angeles / Houston / New YorkVinson & Elkins seeks a project finance or tax equity associate/senior associate for its Tax Credits and Projects practice. Candidates should have 4+ years of experience (J.D. class of 2022 or earlier).

Candidates should have significant transactional experience in either (i) debt project finance, including credit agreements, collateral documents, and intercreditor arrangements, and/or (ii) tax equity financings, tax credit sales, and ITC/PTC structures across renewable energy or clean energy infrastructure. Experience with due diligence on offtake, EPC, supply, and O&M contracts is expected. Exposure to tax credit transferability, infrastructure, LNG, data centers, or private credit is a plus.
This role offers a robust deal pipeline at the forefront of the energy transition, cross-office collaboration with direct partner mentorship, and early client contact and business development opportunities. Associates will gain exposure to sophisticated multi-tranche financings combining debt, tax equity, and tax credit transfer components.
The annual base salary ranges from $310,000+. Salary determinations are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, year classification, graduation year, skills, and experience level.
