    Position: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
    Starting Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications (DOE)

    Village Extended Day is seeking an experienced, dependable, and enthusiastic Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Extended Day Program. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting staff, and creating a safe, engaging, and positive after-school environment.

     

    The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized, comfortable with technology, and passionate about youth development. This role is responsible for supporting staff, maintaining program quality, building relationships with families and school partners, and ensuring children have a fun and enriching experience.

     

    Responsibilities

    Oversee daily operations of the Extended Day Program.Supervise, train, mentor, and support program staff.Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for children.Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities.Communicate professionally with families, staff, and school personnel.Maintain accurate records and required documentation.Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and company policies.Learn and utilize childcare management software and technology systems.Support program scheduling, supplies, and daily operational needs.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum 5 years of experience working in after-school, extended day, childcare, youth development, or a related field.Experience supervising, mentoring, coaching, or training staff.CDA Credential preferred, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire. Company-sponsored CDA support is available for eligible employees.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional email communication.Computer literate with the ability to learn industry-specific software applications.Strong organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Must successfully pass required background screening.

     

    Compensation & Growth

    Starting pay: $22.00–$25.00/hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications (DOE).Performance-based compensation reviews at 90 days, 6 months, and annually.Opportunities for professional development, continued training, and career advancement.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and professional Reception & Student Check-Out Coordinator to join our afterschool program team. This important role helps create a safe and welcoming environment for students and families. The Coordinator manages the program entrance, supports student dismissal, and ensures that children are released only to authorized adults listed on their approved pick-up list.

     

    Responsibilities

    Welcome families, students, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.Monitor the program entrance and maintain a safe, organized check-out process.Ensure parents and visitors do not enter restricted student areas.Verify authorized pick-up individuals before releasing students.Answer incoming phone calls using proper phone etiquette.Respond to parent questions and direct inquiries appropriately.Complete light data entry and filing.Provide basic administrative support to the Program Director.Maintain an organized and professional reception area.Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.

     

    Qualifications

    Must be 18 years of age or older.High school diploma or equivalent required.Must be able to successfully complete required background screening.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.Basic computer skills, including Windows, email, and data entry.Professional appearance and personable attitude.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Previous receptionist, administrative, school, or childcare experience is a plus but not required.
