SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Raker to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and can handle the physical demands of asphalt paving. This role is essential to achieving smooth, level, and professional paving results on every job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Rake and spread hot asphalt to achieve proper grade and compactionWork closely with the paving machine operator and crew to maintain a consistent matShovel asphalt, clean edges, and perform finish workFollow management direction and communicate effectively with crew membersOperate hand tools, lutes, and shovels safely and efficientlyMaintain a clean jobsite and assist with setup and cleanupQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 12 years of asphalt or paving experience requiredKnowledge of asphalt removal, installation, patching, and maintenanceFamiliarity with sealcoat application, crack fill, and pavement preservationUnderstanding of industry-related heavy equipment and safe work practicesEquipment operation experience (skid steer, roller) a plusAbility to work outdoors in hot conditions and lift 50+ lbsReliable, team-oriented, and committed to quality workBasic understanding of grades, slopes, and paving techniquesValid drivers license and/ or reliable transportation required, (CDL Class A a plus)WHAT WE OFFER:
