    We are seeking a proactive Enterprise GIS Lead Architect to join our Cybersecurity team. The GIS Architect will provide the overarching technical vision, architectural governance, and strategic roadmap for the Enterprise GIS (EGIS) program. This role acts as the connective tissue between mission needs, enterprise business objectives, and technical implementation, ensuring that all geospatial solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and optimized for multi-domain operational environments.

    As the senior technical authority, the Lead Architect collaborates with the Program Manager (PM), agency stakeholders, National System and Allied System Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG/ASG) partners, and the Government Program Management Office (GPMO), as well aske y industry partners to ensure the architecture supports diverse mission sets and emerging geospatial requirements. This position will assist in removing programmatic and technical blockers for the PMO, offering decision support, high-level troubleshooting, and architectural risk mitigation to maintain development momentum across teams.

    The role maintains strong relationships with internal and external vendors such as AWS, ensuring that mission requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications and that all designs uphold enterprise standards for cloud/on-premise GIS delivery, data model governance, Application Program Interface (API) integration, and security. Key deliverables include enterprise architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, standards documentation, and disaster recovery strategies.

    Required Skills:

    5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, geospatial systems engineering, or geospatial platform development.Demonstrated experience architecting and integrating large-scale GIS solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.Expertise with Esri enterprise platforms, geospatial APIs, and GIS data lifecycle management.Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and containerized geospatial architectures.Proven ability to engage with mission partners, senior leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams across complex enterprises.Experience creating and managing enterprise technical documentation, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.Ability to distill complex technical issues into actionable recommendations for PMO and leadership.Active TS/SCI and ability to obtain/maintain CI/Poly

    Desired Skills:

    We are seeking a proactive Platform as a Service (PaaS Engineer) to join our team in support of the Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. The PaaS Engineer will assist the Program Management Office (PMO) oversee and support the design, deployment, and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure underpinning the GIS platform. This role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable, secure, and highly available deployments across both cloud and on-premise systems while keeping mission needs and performance requirements at the forefront.

    The PaaS Engineer monitors vendor activities related to deployment pipeline development, automated provisioning, and infrastructure maintenance. The role assists the Government Program Management Office (GPMO) in managing cloud and on-prem resources, to include AWS, UDS, and Enterprise GIS components to ensure the environment remains cost-optimized, resilient, and performant.

    This position supports Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline oversight, ensuring vendors maintain properly functioning build, test, and deployment workflows. The role also verifies that observability tooling, to include auto-scaling, load balancing, logging, monitoring, and alerting has been properly configured. Engineer advises the GPMO on vendor tool selection, licensing, and cost considerations to ensure effective resource utilization.

    Security responsibilities include reviewing vendor-implemented network security controls and ensuring compliance with enterprise cybersecurity standards. The role also provides oversight for container orchestration, ensuring the GIS PaaS platform can support microservices, containerized GIS servers, and managed geospatial workloads.

    Key deliverables include assessments of vendor deployment scripts, validated CI/CD pipelines, system health dashboards, alerting rules, and security compliance reports, all contributing to a stable and mission-ready hosting environment for GIS SMEs.

    Required Skills:
