Job Summary:
The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination and oversight of shuttle operations at various Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Centers. This role involves supervising a team of drivers while ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and safety regulations. Additional responsibilities will include fleet management, maintenance & repair, recruitment/supervision of drivers, and operational reporting.
Compensation: Starting salary of $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Location: Must be based in or near Charleston, SC.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and schedule vehicle inspections, maintenance, and servicing; manage preventative maintenance schedules. Reduce unnecessary expenses and repairs.Secure the fleet’s compliance with applicable regulations.Report fleet performance and finances to upper management.Handle incident response for all fleet issues, accidents, defects related to vehicles, etc.Manage shuttle team.Properly schedule shuttle to stay within contracted hours on weekly basis.Assist in hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions of employees.Follow safe driving procedures and safety protocols at all times.Abide by all rules and regulations set by the VA.Conduct pre/post trip shuttle inspections prior to and after scheduled shift.Maintain shuttle in excellent condition by re-fueling, cleaning, and managing repairs/maintenance as needed.Report any issues or concerns to the Regional Manager and/or the Director of Operations.Uphold high standards of employees on sitePerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills
Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have a minimum of 1-2 years related experience.Must pass and maintain a criminal background check and have a clean motor vehicle record.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict.Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and coldMust have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.Technical capabilities and basic computer knowledge.Excellent written and verbal communication.Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.High School Diploma or equivalent, required.Experience Requirements

Performs a full range of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of primary and secondary electrical distribution systems. Performs maintenance inspections to determine safety hazards, damage, and repair requirements. Must be able to work safely with 13,200 volts of electricity.
Plans, installs, modifies, tests, maintains and repairs a variety of fixtures, hardware and equipment including transformers, generators, convertors, fuses, conductors, switches, conduit, controllers, etc. Must be trained in installing hi-voltage terminations, including transformer elbows, stress cones and splices.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of five years journeyman-level experience and have completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program on industrial electrical systems and demonstrate proficiency and expertise in the field. Must be capable of working safely on all high voltage systems, both above ground and underground. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience. Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language. Must possess a class B CDL and be able to pass drug screen.
Must have experience with High Voltage systems.
Rate of Pay: $29.48 per hour + $4.93 fringe per hour worked, plus 11 paid holidays, 56 hours accrued sick leave
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am–4:00pm
