This role sits right at the intersection of design thinking and technical execution: you'll be client-facing through the design phase, support the design director in leading the team, and own retail fixturing and custom millwork from intent through shop drawings.
What you'll be doing:
Interfacing with clients throughout the design phase and supporting the design director in overseeing the teamDeveloping retail programs of requirements, test-fits, schematic planning, program analysis and basic code analysisDesigning and coordinating retail fixturing, wall systems, gondolas, vitrines, POS and specialty displaysDeveloping custom millwork design: detailing, specification and fabrication intentSelecting, presenting and specifying furniture, finishes and accessoriesPreparing and presenting design presentations; coordinating with clients, consultants and fabricatorsReviewing engineering documents, shop drawings, fixture drawings and submittals for design-intent compliancePeriodic site visits during constructionWhat you'll bring:
