Position Summary The Business Consultant is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through networking, channel partners and self-generated opportunities. This role involves executing aggressive prospecting strategies to gain access to key decision makers within a prospective client's organization. The Business Consultant maintains ownership of the entire sales cycle, including post-sale and implementation processes. Additionally, this role negotiates pricing and scope of service with prospective clients, completes required sales paperwork, and finalizes the terms of the client service agreement. The Business Consultant is also responsible for maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecast, and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals as assigned by the sales leadership team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Proactively generate new business opportunities within the designated territory Continuously expand knowledge of the industry trends, new products, services and Broker practices Conduct thorough analysis, planning, and implementation of products and services tailored to meet client needs. Stay informed about competitors' initiatives and analyze potential competitive threats Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of all services provided to assigned clients Schedule and conduct regular meetings with clients to address questions and concerns during the implementation phase Collect and analyze data to provide strategic guidance on products, services, marketing, sales and other business areas Prepare concise and impactful executive summaries for client presentations Develop lead generation strategies and effectively use CRM (Salesforce) to track activities Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas Complete and submit accurate new business paperwork, expense reports and weekly activity reports by the deadlines set by management Participate in monthly consulting meetings and provide training and coaching to other team members Frequent domestic travel will be required to attend team onsite meetings, client visits, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions.
