    The Field Services Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of electronic and low-voltage technology systems for both external customers and internal company operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality field installations of telematics, vehicle camera systems, and RFID warehouse technology, while also supporting internal facilities technology such as security cameras, access control systems, cabling, and related infrastructure when not traveling. The position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and the flexibility to work in diverse environments, ensuring reliable system performance, maintaining company standards, and representing the organization professionally in both customer and internal settings.


    Primary Responsibilities Customer Installations (Travel Work)


    These duties support the company’s core service offerings:

    Install, configure, and test telematics devices, dash cameras, GPS units, and other vehicle electronic systems.Install, mount, and support RFID warehouse systems, including readers, antennas, cabling, and supporting hardware as part of a growing product offering.Ensure high quality, accurate, and complete installations following company standards.Perform system validation, documentation, and customer sign off at job sites.Communicate professionally with clients and maintain a positive on site presence.Travel regularly to customer locations, including overnight trips.

    Secondary Responsibilities Internal Facilities Technology Support (In House Work)


    These duties support company operations when not traveling:

    Install and maintain internal security camera systems (CCTV/IP) and card access systems.Run, terminate, test, and label CAT6 and other low voltage cabling.Assist with AV systems, conference room technology, and internal IT related installations.Perform general repairs, equipment mounting, and “handyman style” tasks as needed.Support the Facilities Technology Director with internal building projects and technical requests.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

    Teamwork & Communication

    Work collaboratively with the Facilities Technology Director, Technical Installations Supervisor and team members to complete projects efficiently.Communicate progress proactively and provide accurate updates on assignments.Follow instructions and maintain a cooperative, professional attitude during daily operations.Represent the company positively in all customer and internal interactions.


    Administrative & Safety Responsibilities

    Complete all required documentation and installation reports accurately.Track materials used and maintain tools and inventory as assigned.Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.Report any issues, hazards, or equipment concerns promptly.


    Required Qualifications

    Mechanically inclined; experience with vehicle electronics, car audio, alarms, 12 volt systems, or related fields preferred.Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions.Basic understanding of low voltage systems (CAT6, cameras, access control).Strong problem solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, meters, and ladders.Ability to travel for extended periods when required.


    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience installing telematics/vehicle cameras or RFID systems.Experience with low voltage security systems, access control, or AV equipment.Networking or IT experience (basic IP knowledge).Relevant certifications (OSHA, low voltage, etc.).


    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand, kneel, bend, or work in tight spaces for extended periods.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Comfortable working on ladders, inside vehicles, and in warehouse environments.

    Summary of Position:

    The principal duties of the Support Specialist include the following

    • Assist end-users and IT specialists by phone and email with first-level technical support; working to resolve as many incidents as possible at the Tier I level, this includes calling end-users as needed
    • Create new or update existing tickets and ensure each ticket contains detailed documentation which outlines the problem, troubleshooting steps taken and final resolution (if applicable)
    • Follow training and documentation for all necessary troubleshooting steps
    • Escalate more complex issues to senior staff and work with them on projects and troubleshooting issues as needed
    • Respond in a timely manner to requests when resolving issues
    • Document changes within established parameters and escalate those which need higher level review
    • Contribute knowledge and updated information to maintain the Knowledge base, participate in group chat environments as a resource
    • Learn new clients
    • Follow set policies and procedures when assisting clients to ensure proper handling of requests
    • Provide timely responses to client and management requests. Status updates on such requests need to be provided on a regular basis
    • Demonstrates ability to take ownership of client issue with minimal assistance after initial training period.
    • Maintain an above average standing on individual score card that includes calls handled, average handled time, missed calls, etc.
    • 365 days 24/7 coverage which includes holiday coverage
    • Support Services is considered essential personnel and is expected to be available even during inclement weather

    The Senior Network / Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Velocitor Solutions' network, server, virtualization, cloud, and security infrastructure. The Senior Network / Infrastructure Engineer serves as a technical lead for infrastructure initiatives and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Infrastructure Administration

    Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESX, and ESXi environments, including system upgrades, patch management, performance tuning, capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.Support infrastructure modernization efforts, including virtualization platform migrations and cloud integration projects.Manage enterprise storage and compute platforms, including SAN, NAS, and converged infrastructure solutions.Monitor system performance and implement improvements to maximize reliability and efficiency.

     

    Cloud & Platform Management

    Administer Microsoft Azure environments, including networking, compute resources, storage, monitoring, security, and cost management.Deploy, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.Support Docker environments, image repositories, runtime security, and application scalability.Configure and maintain load balancing solutions and associated network services.

     

    Network Engineering

    Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and video network environments.Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, QoS, DHCP, DNS, and related technologies.Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and security issues.Maintain secure remote access solutions and network security controls.

     

    Security & Compliance

    Required Qualifications

    Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, VCP, NCP, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305), Security+, or equivalent.Experience with Nutanix platforms and virtualization migrations.Experience with Cisco UCS, NetApp storage solutions, and FlexPod environments.Experience with IIS, Tomcat, and enterprise email security solutions.Experience supporting monitoring, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture and best practices.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.Commitment to maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable technology environments.

     

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in server rooms and data center environments.Ability to travel occasionally between company locations or vendor sites as needed.

     

    Working Conditions

    Primarily office-based environment.Occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency support may be required.Participation in on-call support rotations is required.
