    Internet Service Provider located in Fresno California is looking for a Network Technician candidate who wants to learn and grow in the networking environment. The candidate will support and maintain our client's network environment. This includes travel, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading networking hardware and equipment to ensure network performance. Cisco routing and switching knowledge are needed. Excellent customer service skills are a must. The ideal candidate should be able to grasp new concepts and develop new skills and easily adapt to the changing IT environment.

    · Provide Managed Network engineering and support services to assigned customer accounts and projects,

    · Assist with growth & management of projects within the team,

    · Assist with network logistic services inclusive of staging, burn-in, pre-configuration, and kitting of network NIDs, switches, and routers,

    Technical Qualifications

    · 3-5 years’ experience in a network engineering role supporting Wide Area Networks (WAN) and/or Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN),

    · Proficient with handling and troubleshooting problems with a WAN and/or MAN,

    · Proficient with all IP Routing protocols, with experience in OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP,

    · Experience deploying IP MPLS CE networks and protocols; L3 VPN, L2 PWE, and IP/MPLS knowledge a plus,

    · Experience with DWDM equipment is a plus: ROADMs, Amplifiers, OTN, Transponders,

    Vast Networks is currently looking for Fiber Splicers in the Central Valley in California.! If working for a small, rapidly growing organization interests you please reach out to us.
    The primary responsibilities of the Fiber Splicer will be to splice fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings. The ideal candidate will be able to read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams, maintain control of activities surrounding the assigned work site(s), taking and maintaining accurate splicing and filed notes, support project timelines, and inspecting, designing and providing accurate staking sheets for projects.

    Essential Duties:

    Ability to splice fiber optic cables including both loose tube and ribbon cables.Able to construct proper splice including but not limited to; grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage and sealing.Ability to perform work in accordance with TIA, industry, and customer specific standards.Comfortable entering, maintaining and exiting existing spice enclosures.Knowledge of the installation of fiber optic cable in new and existing conduit.Ability to terminate, test, troubleshoot and maintain fiber optic networks.Must have good attention to detail regarding setting up splice locations, termination points, and general live fiber optic construction.Knowledge of fusion splicing both loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cables and how to place a mid-sheath splice.Able to test/troubleshoot fiber using OTDR.Ability to safely utilize bucket trucks, access manholes, and hand holes. Use ladders to access various installation and construction points as required.Ensure proper safety techniques and incident reporting procedures are followedOther duties as required.

    Experience and Education:

    High School Diploma or GED required.Three years of fiber splicing experience preferred.Ability to read and follow engineering design maps.Must have intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.Ability to drive for results completing assignments timely and accurately.Ability to handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills.Comfortable working with a team or alone.Must be able to pass a drug screen.Motor vehicle driver’s license
