    Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician

    Vans Home Center | Full-Time


    Vans Home Center is seeking a dependable, professional Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician to join our growing team in the Indianapolis and surrounding market. This role is critical to our customer experience and our long-standing relationships with builders, property managers, and homeowners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in representing our company with professionalism and care.

    Position Overview

    As an Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician, you will be responsible for safely delivering, installing, and connecting household appliances while providing an exceptional customer experience. You will work independently in the field and serve as a trusted representative of Vans Home Center and our values.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver and install household appliances (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, etc.)

    Safely maneuver and position heavy appliances in homes and job sites

    Perform basic electrical and plumbing connections required for proper appliance installation

    Operate large box trucks safely and professionally (CDL not required)

    Protect customers homes and job sites, including floors, walls, cabinetry, and fixtures

    Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, builders, and internal team members

    Complete deliveries and installations accurately, efficiently, and on schedule

    Identify and report any issues or concerns with installations or job sites

    Uphold Vans Home Centers standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

    Qualifications & Skills

    Self-motivated and able to work independently

    Strong customer-service mindset; courteous, respectful, and professional

    Clean driving record and comfort driving large box trucks

    Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy appliances safely

    Basic electrical and plumbing experience related to appliance installation

    Detail-oriented and conscientious when working in customers homes

    Dependable, punctual, and reliable

    Ability to represent Vans Home Center positively to our builder and residential clients

    Van's Home Center is looking for a talented Appliance Installer to join our team! You will be responsible for the installation and setup of built in appliances.

    This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines, and have experience in the plumbing, electrical, or HVAC trades. Experience with cabinetry installation, construction, or modifications would be helpful. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

You will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.     Responsibilities:
    Receive and organize new products delivered to the warehousePulling and organizing products and materials that are needed daily for customer deliveries and pick upsTransferring items between our main warehouse and offsite warehousePlan and organize materials and items in the warehouse, including inventory tasksTransferring items to the sales floor and assembling items for the sales floor as neededInspecting products for damages and unboxing or assembling products as needed prior to customer deliveryEnsuring all organizational and inventory tracking processes are followedAssisting the Warehouse team and Delivery crews as needed, under the instruction of the Warehouse managers and/or the Operations Manager
