    Vanderlande Logistics LLC is seeking to fill full-time Baggage Handling Floor Support position in support of the team located at the Houston (IAH) Airport location. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide general and specialized support under the supervision of the Manager or Shift Supervisor to maintain the operation of the Baggage Handling systems. The position will be responsible for safely clearing bag jams when they occur, assisting technicians with mechanical and electrical repairs when needed, manually moving baggage during system outages, manually encoding bag tags when needed, performing general clean-up of work areas and conveyor equipment and monitoring and assisting the flow of baggage through critical areas of the system.


    Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

    Lifting (50 to 100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete the job duties.

    Required Skills:

    In this role, you will be expected to:

    Serve as the primary field lead to ensure safe, efficient, and productive execution of daily work.Perform daily safety audits and proactively correct unsafe behaviors or hazardous site conditions.Monitor installation progress and verify work quality against approved drawings and quality control standards.Coordinate with subcontractor foremen to assign daily work, communicate priorities, and resolve field issues.Track material usage and report shortages or delivery concerns to the Site Manager.Support statics testing, punch list development, and pre-commissioning activities.Verify that subcontractors submit accurate daily reports and manpower counts.Document field activities, safety observations, issues, and any schedule impacts.

    Broad knowledge on installation of conveyor equipment for baggage handling systems.

Typically, 2-5 years of successful experience in site supervision and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
