We are looking to add a medical assistant to our Pulmonary clinic team at The Vanderbilt Clinic. We see a variety of patients in the clinic including patient populations such as Lung Transplant, Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Pulm, Pulmonary Hypertension, Cystic Fibrosis, and others. Medical assistants in this clinic contribute to the team by means of ensuring efficient clinic flow (rooming patients to see the providers), performing EKGs, giving vaccines, assisting in our procedure room during thoracentesis procedures, and other clinic-related tasks. Monitor Transport TeamAssist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Position OverviewThis position will be on the Float Pool's Monitor Transport Team and is mainly responsible for transporting monitored patients to various imaging services via bed or wheelchair; however, care partner experience is required to handle ADLs as needed. Candidate must pass a basic Arrhythmia test with 85% accuracy during orientation.
