Construction Equipment Sales Representative
The position is responsible for selling new and used construction equipment, along with turf and commercial products, to a diverse customer base. This role primarily focuses on outside sales, developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. Additional responsibilities include assisting walk-in customers, handling phone and email inquiries, and providing expert product support to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the company representative for the sale of compact construction equipment to outside sales clients, as well as turf and commercial equipment to walk-in customers.Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment offered for sale.Must be able to operate all equipment that is offered for sale by the dealership.Maintains knowledge of competitive activity & products communicating to management, accordingly.Maintains all customer information for sales management, monitoring trends in customer business activity.Knows and follows a defined sales process.Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.Conducts new equipment demonstrations.Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
Position Qualifications:
1+ years of equipment sales experience.Knowledge of compact construction products required.Knowledge of turf and commercial equipment or operational practices preferred.Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.Ability to work flexible hours.Excellent customer relationship skills.Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.Must have a valid driver's license, have Class A CDL (or be able to get) and good driving record.
