Currently registered with the California Veterinary Medical Board Effective communication skills knowledge of vaccination protocols, pharmacology, nutrition and animal husbandry and care Must be able to assist in surgery, collect samples take dental digital xrays, and radio graphs for the body able to assist veterinarian in restraint of animal, care of animal including surgical prep and dental prophylaxis Technician must be able to educate clients of the care and condition of their petKnowledge of surgical procedures, equipment needed, and operation of the equipment

Responsibilities
working with veterinarian on care of animals monitoring surgical patients and recovering patients Surgical logs, and controlled logs inventory and supplies stocked work with veterinarians and rest of staff in the flow of the hospital helping the veterinarian with call backs to clients and estimates performing dental prophylaxis surgical prepmaintaining the equipment used in surgery and diagonistics
