    We are in search of Restorative Nurse - RN Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity The Restorative Nurse assumes the daily responsibility and accountability for the restorative aspect of the nursing care of all residents assigned. Coordinates other personnel in the delivery of restorative care and services according to each resident’s comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well being. Duties - 1. Confer with the Director of Nursing Services and/or licensed nursing personnel regarding restorative care of residents in the facility. 2. Participates in MDS/RAI process and care planning of restorative care needs based on policies and procedures. 3. Initiate requests for therapy/evaluation. Must respond to requests from the resident, physician or nursing staff. Be liaison between therapy and nursing department. 4. Evaluate the resident and his/her records or charts, and discriminate between normal and abnormal findings in order to recognize when to refer the resident to a physician for evaluation, supervision or directions. 5. Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to restorative care. Must interpret the policy and procedures to the physician, resident and family members.
