    Requirements:

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Manufacturing team member who sets up and operates common manual and computer numerically controlled (CNC) shop equipment using drawings, specifications, and prints to produce high-quality work.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*Must be able to meet all the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Machinist Class C (#760) and:- Set-up basic manual and CNC machines for production operation - Read and understand drawings and prints to be able to produce parts as required- Make basic adjustments to machine to maintain production rate and quality- Modify existing machine tool programs at control interface- Create basic machining programs using company software programming tools- Inspect part characteristics at in-process and final check points- Assist in teaching and setting-up machines for entry level trainees.- Assist trainees in learning the following:


    SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED: Equipment Preparation, Set-up, Operation, Cleaning, and Maintenance supervision and training, learn to safely and competently:

    Use pressure-regulated air hoses Use saws, sanders, grinders, etc, to prepare and produce rough parts Set up and/ or breakdown basic equipment, fixtures, tooling, etc Operate basic manual and semi-automatic equipment i.e., saws, drill presses, sanders, etc Produce parts within required tolerances Deburr parts and edges to drawing specifications and shop standards Maintain clean and organized work areas Perform routine maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment, including chip barrels Voucher time accurately for daily work and neatly fill out production forms as required

    Quality Assurance – Inspection, Dimensional Checks, Part Appearance, Conformance.


    Follow specific written and/or oral instructions to learn to:

    Meet Quality policy, ISO standard, customer, and company expectations Prepare and have parts checked for First Piece Inspection Know how to use measuring equipment to check parts for dimensional characteristics Understand and meet criteria for part cleanliness, uniform finish, and overall appearance

    Requirements:

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for precision CNC Machine programming, set-up, and first piece runs for lathes, mills, and multi-axis Computerized Numerically Controlled and manual equipment for production and prototype parts.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Operate basic manual and CNC shop equipment and tools safely and skillfullyPerform machining operations on all materials (e.g., ferrous, nonferrous metals, alloys, etc.)Meet and sustain established quality and production volume performance criteriaWork to job batch parts list, prints, drawings, specifications, and procedures to produce parts Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of industry, equipment, and techniques related to the role

    SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:With supervision:Equipment Preparation, Set-Up, & Maintenance

    Set up and/or break down essential CNC and/or manual equipment, fixtures, and toolingUtilize pressure-regulated air hoses; deburr parts and edges to drawing specifications and shop standardsUse saws, sanders, grinders, and other equipment to prepare and produce rough partsPerform routine maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment (i.e., chip barrels, etc.)

    CNC Machining and Production

    Use CNC/manual equipment to manufacture simple and complex parts having many interrelated dimensions, compound angles, and coordinate and exacting tolerances Operate a variety of CNC/manual machines including but not limited to lathes, mills, and multi-axis work centers Produce parts within required tolerances according to prints, designs, and specsReceive, check, and verify sub-parts needed for work orders; assist in solving discrepanciesSelect appropriate cutting tools to maximize efficiency and ensure the quality of the productUse a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc.)Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances based on work instructionsVoucher time accurately for daily work and neatly complete production forms as requiredRework and calibrate production parts and machine tooling as required; continuously check for accuracy

    Quality Assurance

    Promote, guide, and assist others to meet Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectations Produce, prepare, and provide part to Quality for First Piece InspectionInspect part characteristics at in-process and final checkpoints as required by specifications Prepare parts with a focus on uniformity, quality, and workmanshipEnsure all required documentation is completed at each stage of production

    · Recommends, determines, and implements appropriate corrective actions for quality issues

    MANUFACTURING SUPPORT
