  Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role:US Workvan Inc is looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Equipment Installer to join our team in Lansing, MI. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in outfitting commercial vehicles with professional-grade equipment and upfits.   Responsibilities:Install commercial equipment, shelving, storage systems, and accessories into work vans and fleet vehiclesRead and interpret work orders, schematics, and installation instructions to complete upfit projectsPerform electrical wiring, mounting, and fabrication tasks as required for vehicle upfitsInspect completed installations for quality, safety, and functionality before deliveryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shopCollaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectationsTroubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and professionallyRequirements:Prior experience in vehicle upfitting, equipment installation, or a related trade preferredBasic electrical knowledge and experience with 12V vehicle electrical systems a plusProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipmentAbility to read work orders, diagrams, and installation manualsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipReliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamValid driver's license required; ability to drive vans and light commercial vehiclesAbout Us:US Workvan Inc is a trusted name in commercial vehicle upfitting and work van solutions, proudly serving businesses and fleet operators in the Lansing, MI area.   US Workvan is offering a great employment opportunity to become part of a trade that challenges your skills each day to perform a wide variety work required to prepare commercial vehicles for the jobs they are destined to do.

  We are a leading distributor and upfitter of aftermarket accessories for customers that use commercial vans and trucks in the daily operation of their business. From van interior storage systems and ladder racks, to truck boxes and commercial caps, we provide a full line of accessories to get our customer vehicles ready to work!

  We currently have a full-time position opening for an installer/technician. The position requires the assembly and installation of equipment on commercial vans and trucks. Applicant should have experience working with hand tools, power tools and air tools. Experience with welding, 12V wiring and forklift operation is a plus.

  An hourly rate will be determined upon offering employment. A performance review will be conducted after 90 days employment. Vacation and PTO available after 6 months. A drivers license is required and applicant must be able to qualify for insurance coverage. Business hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday and Saturdays (occasional) by appointment.
