Under general supervision, the Sales Lead plays a vital role in achieving the sales goals of the business unit by planning, coordinating, and managing all store operations while providing high-level customer service support. This position focuses on ensuring exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding annual sales goals, managing inventory shrinkage, and maintaining a high quality of work life. Combining leadership responsibilities with advanced selling skills, the Sales Lead enhances customer relationships and drives sales.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• Guide and develop Crew Members for excellent store operations and customer service
• Lead by example, greeting and engaging customers to fulfill their boating needs
• Effectively prioritize and plan to drive results and meet business goals
• Train Crew Members to handle various transactions and provide exceptional service
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing Crew Members
• Manage Omni-Fulfillment operations
Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist in implementing store strategies to meet or exceed annual sales and contribution goals
• Work with the team to grow wholesale business and market share through planning and goal setting
• Ensure the store and staff exemplify our brand and service, adhering to promotional programs and proper display of sale items
• Actively participate in and coach the team on programs and procedures that drive sales
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store while complying with safety and Asset Protection standards
• Develop strategies to achieve West Advantage membership and Private Label penetration goals
• Oversee front-end activities, including greeting customers, processing transactions, and managing add-on sales
• Provide high-level customer support with expertise in boating products, building and maintaining customer relationships
• Recommend additional items and services that complement customer needs
• Accurately manage register transactions and handle returns/complaints graciously
• Complete and distribute tasks from Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Master Checklists
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and store policies to maintain stability and reputation
• Verify that Asset Protection standards are met
• Protect Crew Members and customers by ensuring a safe and clean store environment
• Maintain professional knowledge through company and industry-sponsored training
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Serve as “Manager on Duty” during assigned shifts

Additional Duties May Include
• Ensure accuracy through perpetual counts, cycle counts, product receiving, RTVs, damages, and truck put away
• Manage pricing, execute price changes, and conduct price audits

• Drive clearance execution strategy and sell-through
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time

Duties/Responsibilities:
Fulfillment Delivery
Collaborate with the Hub Manager to prioritize, process, and fulfill customer orders efficiently Communicate with customers and managers, helping to ensure an excellent shopping experience Loads vehicle to support routing sequence; use routing apps to deliver and pickup product Provide quality delivery practices (i.e., timeliness, quality of package, safe handling) to customers Utilize Company provided technology to document all deliveriesDrive responsibly to properly represent the company and our brand Carry out any transfers from Stores and Hubs within their route Interact with Customers during deliveries and inform them of upcoming events and promotions Maintain vehicles to be clean (internally and externally), organized, fueled, and in a properly stored conditionEnsure general maintenance/upkeep to ensure vehicles are operating properly and safelyCommunicate vehicle operating concerns, damage or malfunctions immediately to the Hub Manager as they ariseFulfillment Operations
Accurately execute order picking, packing, and shipping to meet service level agreements (SLAs) for all omni-channel orders Use efficient methods for product selection and transfer to shipping areas to optimize time Handle customer returns according to SLAs and company policies Keep the shipping station neat, clean, and well-organized always Replenish packing and shipping supplies daily to ensure smooth operation Identify and escalate any bottlenecks or challenges in the fulfillment process to the Hub ManagerOther Duties
Assist customers with in-store purchases, product selection, and provide knowledgeable recommendations Support restocking efforts and product placement within the Store Perform additional tasks as assigned to support Hub and/or Store operationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear, professional interactions Strong interpersonal skills, delivering excellent customer service and product knowledge to foster positive customer experiences High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage tasks efficiently Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, even in high-demand situations Solid analytical skills to identify issues and find effective solutions Ability to perform well in a dynamic, sometimes high-stress setting, maintaining composure and efficiency Ability to obtain and maintain Hazardous Materials Certification Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Operator CertificationEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Physical Requirements:
Continuous standing and walking throughout the retail space Continuous operation of a motor vehicle Ability to wear and communicate through a headset continuously Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting Occasionally operate equipment, including forklifts Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height unassisted frequentlyOther Requirements:
