We are seeking a skilled and proactive Manager of Radiation Oncology Clinics to oversee the daily operations of our radiation oncology departments. This key leadership role will ensure seamless clinic performance by guiding staff, optimizing patient access, maintaining compliance, and supporting long-term growth and operational excellence.
    Position SummaryThe Manager of Radiation Oncology Clinics is responsible for the administrative and clinical management of Urology Austin’s radiation oncology sites. This role oversees personnel, facilities, workflows, and patient services to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery. The Manager collaborates closely with physicians, medical physicists, and clinical leadership to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and service. By managing operations, leading staff, and streamlining processes, this position plays a critical role in advancing Urology Austin’s mission to deliver exceptional specialty care.

    Reporting to this Position: Radiation Oncology employees such as Radiation Therapists, Patient Service Representatives, and Nursing Staff
    QualificationsBachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in radiation oncology or a comparable healthcare setting.Certification in Radiation Oncology or a related field (e.g., ABR, ARRT) preferred.Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and administrative staff.Strong knowledge of radiation oncology operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards (ACR, AAPM).Experience managing budgets, reviewing financial reports, and controlling operational costs.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software; experience with Varian/Aria preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to coordinate facility operations, including equipment maintenance, service contracts, and safety compliance.Essential Job DutiesOversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and performance management for Patient Service Representatives (PSRs), nursing staff, and Radiation Therapists.Conduct annual performance reviews and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.Arrange locum tenens coverage for radiation oncologist PTO using existing contracts.Manage daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, flow, and resource allocation.Coordinate preventative maintenance and service for radiation oncology equipment (e.g., chillers, HVAC, CT scanners, injectors, Varian/GE systems).Oversee facility services such as landscaping, housekeeping, building alarms, and annual fire alarm testing.Manage supply ordering and inventory for administrative, nursing, housekeeping, and patient supplies.Partner with the Medical Physicist to review and approve large equipment invoices.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., ACR, AAPM).Monitor clinical quality controls, including refrigerator temperature logs and Clinitech laboratory reporting.Generate weekly reports on care volumes, referral activity, and operational metrics.Collaborate with the Clinical Informatics Manager on system integration between Verdigm and Varian/Aria software.Partner with IT and vendors to optimize workflows, resolve missed encounters, and support system upgrades.Coordinate with urology clinics for treatment-related procedures, such as prostate spacers.Respond promptly and professionally to patient and family service concerns.Manage the clinic’s reputation by responding to social media and online reviews.Other duties as assigned.Benefits PackageUrology Austin offers a competitive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and future.     POSITION SUMMARY:
    An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a non-physician healthcare provider who actively renders direct patient care and possesses delegated prescriptive authority, is credentialed and privileged, and whose service is billed as an independent billing provider, as recognized by Medicare and Medicaid within the healthcare systems, and in accordance with the appropriate board. APPs provide medical care based upon the scope of practice as delineated by the Texas Medical Board and Texas Board of Nursing in collaboration with their supervising physician(s). APPs are trusted medical professionals who work hand-in-hand with physicians to create a seamless environment of care.

    JOB RELATIONSHIPSReports to physicians and President of Urology Austin.Works in conjunction with providers, front office staff and billing staff to ensure complete and accurate authorization and collection proceduresROLE QUALIFICATIONSCurrent licensure in the State of Texas as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)Graduate of an accredited Master’s-level Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programNational board certification as an NP (AANP/ANCC) or PA-C (NCCPA)Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, including at least one year of experience practicing as an NP or PACurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationStrong clinical knowledge in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pharmacology, and the management of acute and chronic conditionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary care teamsProficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation standardsDemonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a clinical settingRequires approximately 12 months of on-the-job learning to meet role-specific performance expectationsPrior experience in urology, internal medicine, or surgical specialties (preferred)Knowledge of urologic pathophysiology, procedures, and treatment plans (preferred)Experience in outpatient specialty care or procedural-based settings (preferred)ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:Assesses the physical condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.Prescribes, recommends and/or employs medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures or performs indicated procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policies with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
