    Uptown Rental Properties is looking for hard-working, eager Field Technicians to join us in fulfilling these core values through our work!

    What you'll do as a Field Technician:

    Moving trash and recycling bins in and out on specified daysLitter/trash collection in exterior and interior common areasGutter cleaningLeaf blowingPet station maintenanceSalting walkwaysProvide support in moving furniture, appliances, etc. as neededOther duties as assigned

    Field Technician Requirements:

    Valid driver's licenseWork independently to complete assigned tasks within given timeframeWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact with residents of varying ages and backgroundsAbility to meet physical requirements: The position is considered to have moderate to heavy physical demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to climb up to nine feet on ladders, work in overhead structures, walk, stand, twist, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel at least 90% of the workday. The employee will occasionally be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 100 pounds and frequently be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 50 pounds during the normal course of a workday.

    We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our Florence properties. This full-time, on-site position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation one week per month.

    ???? What You’ll Do

    Work Orders & Property Maintenance (60%)

    Troubleshoot basic plumbing, light electrical, and light HVAC issues

    Complete painting, repairs, and general upkeep to high standards

    Manage work orders via iPhone app, prioritizing and escalating tasks as needed

    Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards

    Assist with inventory and maintain an organized workspace

    Communication & Collaboration (15%)

    Keep residents, vendors, and team members informed on progress

    Coordinate with property management and vendors to complete work efficiently

    Contribute to a positive resident experience through clear communication

    On-Call Responsibilities (5%)

    Respond to emergencies during scheduled after-hours shifts (one week per month)

    Additional Duties (20%)

    Address interruptions or unplanned maintenance needs promptly

    Support team objectives and uphold Uptown’s service standards

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    1+ year of experience in make-ready, property maintenance, or a similar role

    Comfort with hand tools and moderate-to-heavy physical demands (lift 50–100+ lbs, climb ladders, stand ~90% of the workday)

    Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude

    ⚡ Performing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and general maintenance repairs.
