    Senior Project Manager, Special Projects Group Uprite Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Special Projects Group (SPG), focusing on interior renovations and tenant improvements across hospitality, retail, and healthcare sectors. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep experience in fast-paced, occupied-space environments who thrives on managing complex, detail-oriented projects with precision and care. The Senior Project Manager will be based out of our Irvine, CA office. What You'll Do: Oversee the full lifecycle of interior renovation projects, from pre-construction planning to closeout Lead concurrent projects within hospitality, retail, and healthcare environments, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field staff to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and proactive communication throughout each project Identify risks and resolve issues swiftly to keep projects on track Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, and Uprite's safety policies Coordinate with designers, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery in highly specialized interior spaces What You'll Bring: 10+ years of project management experience in commercial construction with a strong focus on interior renovations and tenant improvements Demonstrated success managing projects in hospitality, retail, and/or healthcare, including working in occupied and sensitive environments Experience managing multiple fast-track projects ranging from $1M to $25M Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, and the MS Office Suite PMP or equivalent certification is a plus; OSHA 30-hour certification preferred Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to motivate teams and build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders What We'll Provide: Medical, dental and vision insurance in accordance with plan guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a strong pipeline of work in San Diego, beginning with small- to mid-sized multifamily projects (1030 units). This role is ideal for a Project Manager who is either between projects or looking for consistent, hands-on involvement with a growing and reputable builder. While initial engagement is on a 1099 contract basis, there is potential for a long-term, full-time position as project volume increases.
