JOB SUMMARY The Administrative Associate will provide administrative and operational support to the department faculty coordinator, assisting with all faculty affairs processes. This role supports the execution and tracking of faculty lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, appointments, evaluations, and coordination with internal offices, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with departmental and university requirements. The position serves as a support resource between candidates, faculty, and internal offices and assists with visa processing in coordination with the International Office. JOB DUTIES * Relieves supervisor of various internal administrative duties, which require thorough understanding of, and adherence to functions, programs, and policies of unit and university. The Senior SPA Proposal Analyst will work among the proposal team and help departments with their funding proposals and submissions. As a Senior in this role, you will work with more complex types of submissions and awards. This role may also become a subject matter expert for a particular sponsor, type of award, or area of review. Helps research staff navigate any modifications or continuations which might occur. Reviews progress reports and collaborates with new PIs to transfer grant portfolio. This is a deadline driven area within Sponsored Programs Administration due to the various submission deadlines of our sponsors throughout the year. Heavy deadlines with NIH and other various sponsors requires the need of this position to avoid backlog of the proposals. This position falls under a mostly remote hybrid work schedule and will require to be in office several times throughout the year and as needed. Oversee tracking, documentation, and reconciliation of all audit requests and outcomes. Analyze audit and denial trends to identify systemic risks and inform compliance strategy. Works under minimal supervision reporting to the Director Health System Compliance, to perform assessments of risk related to health care reimbursement through third party payers, particularly Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payers, managed care payers, and the like. This role uses sources such as the OIG Work Plan, payer alerts, probe audits and internal reviews and reports from monitoring activities; methodologies such as probe auditing, statistical sampling and extrapolation; and technologies such as Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel), MDAudit, Med Analytics, electronic medical records, and other applicable tools and methodologies, to identify, quantify, and make recommendations regarding reimbursement errors and opportunities and corrective actions, for UTSW health care facilities and providers.
