About the Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon Position The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT) are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon. The role will be under the leadership of Dr. Charles Fraser Jr., within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac surgery. Manage complex congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. Hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery. Participate in educational activities for medical students and residents. Collaborate across medical disciplines to foster innovative program development and research initiatives. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited medical institution. Completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiothoracic residency program or equivalent. Meets credentialing and privileging standards for specialty. Unrestricted medical license in Texas (or ability to obtain prior to appointment) or completion of all USMLE steps prior to starting the position.
