    We are seeking a Gastroenterologist Physician to join our Gastroenterology practice to provide clinical services at community-based practices in Maple Grove, Edina and Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for an individual who will provide high-level patient-centered care aligning with the goals and objectives of the M Health Fairview organization.

    Practice Highlights:

    This Gastroenterologist will be an integral team member in the delivery of GI care, enjoying an established large referral base and a small practice feel with access to broader University of Minnesota academic resources.

    Full time position (1.0 FTE) that will provide patient care in the clinic, approximately 30% of the time and 70% of the time performing outpatient endoscopy procedures.

    The practice includes an advance practice provider and other support staff.

    Position is located at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis; M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital; and M Health Fairview Specialty Centers in Maple Grove and Edina.

    Opportunity to collaborate with other Gastroenterology colleagues within the University of Minnesota, Gastroenterology Division, leaders in pancreaticobiliary disease, transplant hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders and the microbiota.

    Work with a dynamic and collegial team of Gastroenterologists many of which are named as a Top Doctor by Minnesota Monthly.

    About the Division:

    Physicians and nurse practitioners in pediatric urology offer expertise in a broad range of health concerns, from the most common conditions like bed-wetting and urinary tract infections, to more serious and complex issues including congenital malformations. The conditions can arise in infants as well as older children, and our physicians even provide in-utero treatment for babies before they are born. Our urology team has special expertise in hypospadias, urinary obstruction, urine reflux, renal stone and voiding dysfunction. The team also partners with the only multidisciplinary center in the region that provides comprehensive care for children with disorders of sexual differentiation.

    About the Appointment:

    Duties of this position include engagement in clinical and/or basic science research, patient care in pediatric urology, and certain administrative duties.

    This position will include clinical duties working at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital as well as having an outpatient clinical practice.

    The Department of Pediatrics and The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric hepatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The selected candidate will join nine other full-time faculty and three nurse practitioners in a thriving academic pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition practice that cares for patients with diverse and fascinating problems. Our program covers the full spectrum of care in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.

    In addition to providing excellent patient care the successful candidate will:

    Participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows

    Participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities tailored to their career interests and goals

    Participate in service activities on behalf of the department, medical school, and their profession

    The Division plays a leading and integral role in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the longest-standing pediatric liver transplant programs in the United States. The Division is home to a nationally recognized program in pediatric pancreatology and total pancreatectomy, pancreatic islet autotransplantation. We have ongoing clinical research projects in gastrointestinal disease in cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, and autoimmune hepatitis. Our division participates in the Rare Disease program at the University of Minnesota, recently recognized as a Center of Excellence by the National Organization of Rare Diseases. The Division continues to maintain the highest ambitions for excellence in all three of its major missions: patient services, teaching, and research.

    Qualifications:

    Board-certified/board-eligible pediatric hepatologist. Advanced Training in hepatology including clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology.

    Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

    Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.

    Pay and Benefits:

    This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $201,800-$362,200 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

    The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 45 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians.
