    This position requires candidates to be fully COVID19 vaccinated and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

    Responsibilities

    Follow and execute all company processes/proceduresAnswer high volume multi-line phone system in a professional mannerProfessionally and effectively communicate with patientsSchedule all appointmentsCollect all patient co-pays and balances at time of serviceRegister new patients into computer systemPull, file, and prepare patient chartsScan various documentsEmail/Mail patient paperworkEfficiently perform check-in and check-out processEnsure patient paperwork/records are complete and currentMaintain cleanliness and organized appearance of the front desk and waiting areaStrictly adhere to HIPAA standards in the protection of patient personal informationRetrieve messages from voicemail and follow processes to ensure messages are routed to appropriate departmentCarry out any administrative tasks assigned by Manager and/or ProvidersMedical Records

    Requirements

    EPIC Software ExperienceMedical and Dental insurance experienceTeam Oriented but able to perform individuallyHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environmentAbility to remain polite and professional at all timesPunctual and reliable

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

    We are looking for an Experienced Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team to take their career to the next level. The applicant would be held to a high standard of clinical skill and would be willing to go the extra mile with all of our patients. If you are passionate about patient-centered care, we want to meet you!

    A current Radiology Certification for the State of Maryland, CPR certification, and proof of COVID-19 Vaccination are required. Medical or religious vaccine exemptions are approved by UMC Campus.

    Description

    Seat and prepare patients for exams/proceduresAssist Surgeons chairside during procedures when neededAssist Oral Maxillofacial Prosthodontist chairside when neededDischarge patients with the appropriate post-op instructionsResponsible for all post-op calls/status documentationTaking patient vitals and documenting in EPIC softwareExpose diagnostic radiographs and CBCTPrepare clinical rooms with the appropriate instrumentation, supplies, and medications prior to exams/proceduresFile charts and paperworkScan charts/documentsOrdering SuppliesOrdering ImplantsProcess instrumentation in accordance with sterilization protocolsPerform all required testing and maintenance of equipment to meet the necessary licensing and infection control standardsMaintain exam rooms, operatories and lab daily to ensure all areas are clean and fully stockedComplete pathology paperwork and deliver to the appropriate Pathology DepartmentTake and pour modelsAppointment SchedulingAnswer phones, respond to clinic voice messagesStrictly adhere to HIPAA standards in the protection of patient personal informationProvide support to the senior assistants as neededCross-trained for insurance follow up and front desk responsibilities

    Requirements

    COVID-19 VaccinationDAANCE Certification PreferredCurrent/valid MD DHMH Dental Radiology LicenseCurrent Healthcare Provider CPR CertificationMultitaskingWork well in a busy environment and under pressureMinimum one (2) years experience in dental clinical settingHigh School Diploma or equivalentPunctual and Reliable
