Description Universal Solutions International, Inc. is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Equipment Inspector to join our team at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakenhurst, New Jersey, to manage, inspect, and validate military equipment in accordance with technical manuals and Army regulations. This role ensures equipment readiness, proper documentation, and accountability throughout redistribution, repair, and inventory processes. Principal Duties: Conduct visual inspections on equipment per the technical and owner's manuals to determine condition codes.
Perform preliminary inspections to validate batch codes prior to equipment redistribution. Review maintenance and historical records to ensure completeness; request missing documents from units as needed.
Inspect component systems, including instruments, vehicle bodies, and chassis. Prepare and maintain work order control logs with a 90% accuracy rate for tracking equipment custody and transfers.
File, store, and maintain maintenance documents and historical records in compliance with AR 25-400-2. Verify all repair work is documented and complete.
Conduct final inspections and certify equipment readiness to the 10/20 standard. Validate all Property Grant/Issue Requests (PGI-R) and associated documentation (DD Form 1348-1(A), PSD, memoranda).
Prepare Inventory Adjustment Reports (IARs) and coordinate signatures with Stock Record Accountable Officers.
Ensure equipment is properly returned to property books within 72 hours; escalate discrepancies to the COR.
Maintain Supporting Document Files (SDF) in compliance with AR 25-400-2.
Process recoverable/repairable or excess Class IX turn-ins through the appropriate SSA RIC manager.
Verify and process Automatic Return Item (ARI) codes in GCSS-Army; request disposition instructions from Item Managers as required. Requirements Must be a US citizen.
A minimum of 4 years providing examinations of classifications of Class II, IV, and VII items to establish conditions of the equipment. Familiarity with AR 25-400-2, AR 710-2, and GCSS-Army procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to coordinate with multiple units and stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in operating military equipment.
AA/S degree in any discipline preferred.
SECRET security clearance required.
